iPhone X vs 11

My beloved 7 Plus met and untimely demise this morning (to be fair, it was on its way out but it had a bit longer!)

iPhone X and 11 are the same price, my head says get the 11 because it’s the newest but reviews say X is awesome and no point upgrading

Any advice??

@CatalogueUniverse It was a bit odd at first, but seem to have got used to it quite quickly. Now I quite like the extra size. But yeah I felt like you before I got it when I compared friends X with my 6s.

And can I say, the 11 has only two camera's, the 11 Pro and Pro Max have the three camera's.

It's a no brainier. Reviews say there is little difference. Camera is better. Price difference is negligible. So obviously get the 11. Why would you get the older model unless there was an actual negative with the newer model? Whilst the improvement is minimal, there still is an improvement and no negative. Get the 11.

@damnthatanxiety the iPhone XR was the budget iPhone. The iPhone XS was the premium flagship phone. The iPhone 11 replaced the XR, the premium iPhone 11 Pro replaced the XS. The basic iPhone 11 might be more recent but it’s not as black and white as automatically being better than the XS because it’s still the budget iPhone.

Had to decide between a 11 and an XS at Black Friday. Went for XS. Battery life is amazing, screen is fantastic, camera is great, wasn't a straightforward choice as you should usually get the latest model esp as apple aren't selling the XS now. It'll be supported for a few years and I'm happy with the choice.

I went from the 7+ to the 11 and I love it.

It's a bit smaller than the 7+ so I find it more comfortable to hold, but it has the same amount of screen visible, if not more.

I haven't tried the X so not sure how the X and 11 compare.

If budget isn’t a concern, go for the 11 over the XR. Personally I have a XS and would see the 11 as a downgrade🤷🏼‍♀️ I would get the Pro instead, but it’s interesting comparing the two!

The 11 has 3 hours more battery life than the XS as Apple upgraded the battery of all this year’s devices. It has a 12mp front camera (vs 7mp on XS) and a wider back camera lens with night mode. It does not have a telephoto lens, the XS and 11 Pro do. The XS, like the Pro, is made from more premium materials so has a better screen, thinner bezels and will feel better in your hand etc. However I suppose aesthetics, just like screen size, is a personal choice.

Would recommend visiting phone shops that have the XS on display before making your mind up!

Oh the other reason I got the 11 was because I liked the purple.

Also the XS has a larger display than your 7+ btw, but in a smaller footprint. So you won’t actually lose any screen.

After much (MUCH) deliberation, I’ve gone for the XS

£629 is such a good price for it! I’m paying slightly more for mine overall, but I have had it since release. My network provider actually gave me a good tariff including Spotify, 40% discount off the line rental and £300 credit due to complaints. I’m barely paying for it.

Definitely negotiate with your network provider because it might end up cheaper on contract overall once you include your sim only plan.
