What have you forgotten this Christmas?!

Well I decided to have a relaxed Christmas Eve....

A quick mental check means that I’ve forgotten

Crackers
Bread sauce / stuffing mix
Bread for Homemade bread sauce and stuffing mix

But I have lots of gin... and tonic and wine for mulling

I reckon I’ll be ok! What have you forgotten?!

I thought I'd forgotten cream cheese for the cheesecake so duly trekked out to get some on the 23rd.

I checked the recipe earlier and I'd cancelled the cream cheese as the recipe needs mascarpone! I'd got the mascarpone instead. So now I need a way of using up 600g of cream cheese!

A second cauliflower - have to decide whether to forego the cauliflower wings for starter or cauliflower cheese side

Lost a hulk keyring for ds stocking- given up looking and now finally going to bed!

I didn’t think I’d forgotten anything until building things up and then realising I don’t have any batteries. I’ve also forgotten crackers but quite honestly I bought them last year and still forgot to use them so we did a few days later when I remembered and I’m not that fussed about them.

Quite a few things - custard, mince pies, Quality Street (the teens are a whole box of Celebrations in 2 days) - but we’ll live or I might go to the shop later.

Christmas crackers. Oh well, they'll be half price on Thursday.

Kinda forgot crackers til now! Bought them in January for this year, but had forgotten to get them out from under the bed. Will do that in the morning!

I forgot cling film and cocktail sticks. I’m sure we’ll cope. Also my giant foil turkey tray doesn’t fit in the oven!!

Thanks to this thread I realised I had forgotten a gift for my brother! Just bought an amazon e-voucher, which I will email to him at a more reasonable hour.

I also didn't get new pjs for the dc, thinking they wouldn't be bothered, but ds7 spent all yesterday evening wondering where the elves were that always deliver new pjs! Back on the list for next year.

We forgot sellotape - by we I mean DH. There were words. Made do with masking tape. Am still annoyed that I sorted 5020 things properly but of the two things he was asked to do - he forgot to do one!
