What have you forgotten this Christmas?!

Well I decided to have a relaxed Christmas Eve....

A quick mental check means that I’ve forgotten

Crackers
Bread sauce / stuffing mix
Bread for Homemade bread sauce and stuffing mix

But I have lots of gin... and tonic and wine for mulling

I reckon I’ll be ok! What have you forgotten?!

Nothing. But mil poured the chick pea stuff I was saving to make a vegan meringue down the sink when she was -meddling- helping out in the kitchen earlier....

Strike through fail

I forgot to hoover the ceiling. I saw the cobwebs floating in the drafts as we ate dinner. I will ban any guests from looking up

Gravy (having m and s duck thing/roulade that won't produce anything to make gravy with).
Duck fat for potatoes.
Bread for smoked salmon.
Not bad considering I've been in bed I'll since Saturday! We'll live and it'll all be fine.

Ach tinsel I spotted some cobwebs on the bedroom ceiling while changing DS’s nappy this afternoon. I just sort of whacked at them with his trousers and they came down so you don’t need a Hoover

Staying away in hotel and left all my make up and lotions at home. Gutted, was really
looking forward to getting all fancied up.

Chocolates. I have no boxes of chocolate in the house except for the box of Lindor in DH's stocking. I'm contemplating opening them but then I'd be committed to eating all of them to hide the evidence.

We do have an embarrassment of canapés though, as I over-ordered .

Some sort of dessert that dd2 will eat. My friend has made us a cheesecake but dd2 won't eat it & I completely forgot about the gateau on my shop...I then completely forgot to ask the girls' dad to look for one when he nipped to Lidl for me earlier.

She'll survive...hopefully she won't notice!

I forgot the sherry. DH found me with a glass of cooking sherry while I was preparing dinner!

Flour, so I can't make any (more) mince pies. Think that's a win though ...

Oh no!! I’ve completely forgotten to get myself a present from my mum!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I hate doing it but she’s (says she is) too frail to do it herself. Ah well too late now I’ll have to have a think of what I can wrap up to give to myself

I forgot crackers too. I'm not sure it's a great loss really. Often I forget to get them out anyway.

I meant to get more AAA batteries than I did. Luckily we seem to have just enough.

I've grabbed the wrong roll and some of the moon Santa gifts ended up with the same as some of the kids ones.
