Not sure what I want to drink on Christmas Day! Going to brave the supermarket tomorrow for some alcohol as we haven't bought that yet.

What are you drinking?

A thimble ful of baileys. Maybe two as it's Christmas

IncyWincyGrownUp · 23/12/2019 23:29

I seem to be having a relapse of the chest plague, so I suspect it will be tea and squash all the way! :o

Mammyloveswine · 23/12/2019 23:46

Prosseco, wine, gin, sherry and baileys!

Hoolajerry · 23/12/2019 23:50

Champagne in the morning. Caipirinhas pre-dinner, more champagne and possibly a gin and tonic to finish.

AgeLikeWine · 23/12/2019 23:53

Derbyshire ales, Bavarian weissbier, manzanilla Sherry, tawny port, Chateauneuf du Pape, Yorkshire tea.

I’m really looking forward to it!

Zenithbear · 23/12/2019 23:58

Champagne for lunch.
Gin and tonic for me, JD and coke for dp later on.

BoogleMcGroogle · 24/12/2019 00:13

For our late, long Christmas Day lunch ( with Spanish friends, so there'll be amazing food and it'll last hours) we have Waitrose blancs de noir champagne, then Barolo and a bottle of Royal Tokaji for the pudding/ cheese with membrillo extravaganza. I don't really drink spirits, but love good wine in good company.

Then the rest of the Barolo ( we have half a case) will come to my parents' house to do justice to their epic Boxing Day rib of beef. They are no longer trusted to choose wine, after once bringing three bottles of red dessert wine for Christmas lunch!

MeganChips · 24/12/2019 00:29

Whisky Macs on Christmas Eve, Cremant with dinner and then port and cheese in the evening. Possibly some gin too!

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 24/12/2019 00:33

Prosecco
And
Cinzano 😂

CrowleysBentley · 24/12/2019 01:06

I've got a variety of things on my list, we all like different drinks. We always have gin, vodka, spiced rum, single malt and an American whiskey in the house. I've already got a couple of bottles of Tesco finest salted caramel cream liqueur, as we all prefer it to Baileys. I'll get a couple of bottles of prosecco in, I have a couple of bottles of red if anyone wants, and a few beers. DD likes that awful sugary sweet toffee apple cider so I'll get a few of those for her. DS has a bottle of Bulleit Rye whiskey as a present from me, and DD has a bottle of Hotel Chocolat Belgian chocolate cream liqueur.

I'm also apparently making mulled cider tomorrow, and DD said something about wanting to make us all some espresso martinis as she's been making lots of cocktails at work recently.

U2HasTheEdge · 24/12/2019 02:02

Wine
Snowball
An assortment of Gins (already had these)
Scholar
Bucks Fizz
Lager for my husband and cider for my older children

Lamentations · 24/12/2019 02:49

Non alcoholic things. Belvoir juniper tonic and maybe the elderflower one. An Erdinger AF beer, tea and coffee obvs. This is the second year I've had an alcohol free Christmas. I'd love to be having some wine but I can never happily stop at a couple of glasses so this is the way it needs to be. On the plus side I'll feel amazing on Boxing Day.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 24/12/2019 07:21

Buck's fizz, Cahors, various gins, more Cahors, Islay, Jack, Chablis, and gallons of water to flush it all out for Friday when I'm back in the lorry.

ChristmasEveEveEve · 24/12/2019 07:26

Aldi gingerbread gin. We only buy it for Christmas it doesn't last five minutes in this house.

redeyetonowheregood · 24/12/2019 07:27

I drink regularly but don't usually have Cointreau in the house because it is too easy to drink...so I treat myself to a bottle of Cointreau for Christmas, which I started last night after I finished work for the holidays. I have Baileys in as well for Christmas and a good whisky I have been holding off opening.

AuntieMarys · 24/12/2019 07:35

Champagne and gin. 12 bottles to choose from. The Roku and Whitby have gone

Waxonwaxoff0 · 24/12/2019 07:40
