Why is he defending her?

Anyone else find it odd that Caroline flacks boyfriend is supporting her?
Do you think he's so far in abuse he doesn't see it? Or he's signed some NDA just like her ex supposedly had?
From what the court heard today it sounded quite bad what she did to him.

becuase she is his abuser. Same reason people go back time and time again, trauma bonds.

Winterwonderland10 · 23/12/2019 17:18

Hmm yea true. I'm a survivor of DA so I can understand the truma bond. I do feel sorry for him. Interesting what her ex Andrew Brady has said even though he's signed a NDA from her allegedly

Because he loves her. Sometimes you want them to stop being abusive and to have just the good bits.

It is very complicated.

MalarkeyMouse · 23/12/2019 17:59

I'm surprised this is the only thread on this. He now denies a lamp was used according to one tabloid.

BarefootHippieChick · 23/12/2019 18:07

I think she's vile. I've seen several people coming out on Twitter giving their opinion of her past behaviour including a father whose daughter was bullied by her at school. I'm all for people having fun no matter their age but she really needs to grow up and realise she's not 21 any more.

As to why he's now defending her, who knows? As others have said typical victims of abuse behaviour maybe. I hope he sees the light. The fact she supposedly hit him while he was sleeping though 😑

Encyclo · 23/12/2019 18:15

She was sobbing in court and the Judge told her to conduct herself properly.

The evidence against her is compelling, she's been warned already for flouting a court order, and yet she comes straight out and puts up an Instagram post saying she can't wait to to tell her side of the story.

Winterwonderland10 · 23/12/2019 18:26

The prosecution obviously have overwhelming evidence by body cam and 999 call. They wouldn't go ahead with a high profile case if they didn't think they could win.
Also what she wore to court I found inappropriate.
I would also say the same if it was a male for anyone thinking I'm attacking just her. I thinking what she allegedly done is awful!

The ex boyfriend says she has allegedly got form. The coverage today has been strange. He must love her or be besotted with her. He’s said she didn’t hit him with a lamp.

CoffeeCoinnesseur · 23/12/2019 18:42

He's besotted with her, she's said sorry, she's promised to get counselling, promised to change, blah blah blah, you read it on here almost every day, people who don't press charges against their abuser and believe all these empty words.

From the account I've read and the transcript of the 999 call she sounds absolutely psycho.

The evidence from the 999 call, police body-cam, statements taken at the time, must be overwhelming because the judge has refused to lift her bail conditions that she can't have contact with him.

QuiteGood · 23/12/2019 18:44

Where's the transcript of 999 call?

CoffeeCoinnesseur · 23/12/2019 18:46

@QuiteGood not a direct transcript but all the court reporting today had given the gist of the call with numerous quotes of his exact words, with her in the background verbally abusing him.

QuiteGood · 23/12/2019 18:49

Ah!

I was pretty Shock at her outfit. Totally inappropriate for court. Gives the impression she was treating it as a media opportunity.

Itsashame · 23/12/2019 18:53

It sounds awful from the court reports. Also agree that the outfit was completely inappropriate for court

Winterwonderland10 · 23/12/2019 18:53

Wonder if she was advised to cry so much in court to get people to feel sorry for her. However you would at least thought people would advise her on what to wear. From what's been printed today then she sounds off her rocker.

Ninjakittysmellz · 23/12/2019 18:55

I was also Hmm at her outfit. It seemed utterly disrespectful and inappropriate given the seriousness of the situation.

I was also a bit bemused by the photo of this tiny police man - totally off topic, but it seemed like a kid playing dress up!

otterturk · 23/12/2019 18:56

No one knows what happened. He doesn't want to press charges and he loves her.

GreyGardens88 · 23/12/2019 18:58

She seems a psychopath, who bludgeons someone in their sleep? I hope she has the book thrown at her, next time it could be a knife

She's probably gaslit him, threatened him, made him feel dependant on her

You sound like those women commenting on it on facebook saying he must have done something wrong

Well the cps think they have alot of evidence to charge clearly. So in sure we will all find out what happened next year. Hoping time away from her from the bail conditions does him good. However I'm sure they will find a way to contact each other

Yetanotherwinter · 23/12/2019 19:12

@XmasDayConundrum It’s not uncommon at all for victims of dv to refuse to support a prosecution and for CPS to continue with a prosecution against the wishes of the victim. It doesn’t need to be an extreme case.
I too thought her outfit was totally inappropriate for court.

BringMeTea · 23/12/2019 19:13

Agree Devereux1.

Devereux1 · 23/12/2019 19:14

The bare-look makeup coupled with the hooker outfit was an interesting combination, I thought.

Winterwonderland10 · 23/12/2019 19:23

@deveruex1 you think he's been paid to keep quiet? Or NDA?
