Why is he defending her?

Anyone else find it odd that Caroline flacks boyfriend is supporting her?
Do you think he's so far in abuse he doesn't see it? Or he's signed some NDA just like her ex supposedly had?
From what the court heard today it sounded quite bad what she did to him.

It's a possibility, but more that these young men get very starry eyed when there is ££ on tap, fame and attention which they enjoy, and even more chance of more ££ and attention the longer they stay around/the more they find out/the more they know.

It must be quite a kick to be dropped or walk away from these celebrity relationships, back to lifestyles without the red carpet, yachts and £££. Quite the incentive to keep on going, for some.

@XmasDayConundrum it was uncommon years ago but now they like to take the decision making away from the victim which is a good idea. I agree that there must be good evidence for her to have been charged. They don’t charge unless they think they have a good chance of a conviction. Flack sounds like a piece of work.

Winterwonderland10 · 23/12/2019 19:54

Does flack get told what evidence they have against her? Because why else plead not guilty? The punishment will be worse if she's found guilty.

The bare-look makeup coupled with the hooker outfit was an interesting combination, I thought.

Me too.

There will be no coming back from this. She's ruined her career.

sophiestew · 23/12/2019 20:45

Agree she is basically cancelled.

The evidence painted a shocking picture of what happened. Whoever advised her on the hooker outfit is not her friend.

MalarkeyMouse · 23/12/2019 20:51

I wonder if she had anything else to wear - she usually appears in shorts/tiny skirts. I'd be worried about the MH of both of them.

Sadie789 · 23/12/2019 20:59

He knows she’s a ticket to fame and fortune and doesn’t want that taken away.

Frankly I think both of them commenting on social media is inappropriate and surely they have been advised not to.

Immature on both sides, almost certainly fuelled by substances other than alcohol, and should be career ending for her although reality (irony) is it will probably earn her more in the long run.

Sadie789 · 23/12/2019 21:03

@Winterwonderland10 if she pleads guilty now she will probably get a custodial sentence. However if it’s forced to trial and the boyfriend refuses to testify then it will likely be thrown out or she’ll be found not guilty without solid evidence from him. I imagine ITV has top lawyers on this and she will have been carefully advised on the least damaging course of action.

Winterwonderland10 · 23/12/2019 21:08

@sadie789 the cps seem confident they don't need him as a witness though. They have hard evidence with the body cam and 999 call. Not sure how she will come away with nothing at all?

Perhaps there was something else involved, something that causes aggression and arrogance for example, that he doest want getting out.

LoopyGremlin · 23/12/2019 21:16

I agree with others about her clothing. Surely you’d wear something more conservative to court?!

lljkk · 23/12/2019 21:19

my dad was (is) a judge in California. Sometimes I'd sit & watch his public hearings... One afternoon it seemed to all be reviews of restraining orders. Again & again the women would say "Oh my ex is ok now, we get along fine, I don't need the RO, any more." My dad would question the women about his recent & past behaviour, and it always became clear the fellow hadn't changed at all, he was still a creepy probably violent menace. The women were in denial. The ROs stayed in place (!)

Denial is more than just a river...

Quirrelsotherface · 23/12/2019 21:29

I thought during the last series of Love island that there was something going on with her.

She is a 40 year old woman acting extremely immaturely and she turned up at court today like she was appearing in a production of Chicago.

Textbook Narc.

amaryl · 23/12/2019 21:30

I don’t know anything about her, but who dresses like that for court?!

nevernotstruggling · 23/12/2019 21:35

Came on to look for a thread on this. I found the media on this really disturbing.

MalarkeyMouse · 23/12/2019 21:46

Does anyone know if they would have been routinely tested for drugs?

InvisibleWomenMustBeRead · 23/12/2019 21:48

It's all very bizarre - wonder who's advising both of them? Surely her career must be over now.

coffeeoclock · 23/12/2019 22:02

"appearing in a production of Chicago."

Indeed! She looked ridiculous, absolutely no respect for the courts or herself clearly!
