Secret Santa.... did you do well this year or end up with tat?

Lighthearted thread alert!!

Secret Santa is always a bit of fun but it’s also a gamble as to if you’ll get £10 worth of goodies or £10 worth of regifted tat.

This year I bought:

• I made a hamper full of Harry Potter goodies, actually spent about £20 but I didn’t mind as the girl it was for has been a great help all year at work.

This year I got:

• a big glass that says “is it too early for prosecco” (when it is well known in the office that I hate prosecco/wine and I only actually drink gin)

• a candle

I don't want to get into exactly what the clothing was because a) outing and b) they meant well. I'm pretty sure my secret santa was somebody who is very very low income and was a regift.

I'd really like to try the 'steal or swap' one year - that sounds like fun!

Everyone else in my team got something thoughtful that relates to their likes/sense of humour.

I got a bath set. I'm allergic.

DH doesn't drink and got given 6 beers. I'd even had a request via the friend of his colleague who got him in the draw to suggest things he'd like

I organised mine....... told everyone it had to be in this week. I left work today without my secret Santa gift. Happens every year! I’m not in until the 30th now.

I got a lovely Aveda shampoo and also a pack of my favourite crisps. Wrapped!

We do regifting so you wrap up stuff you don’t want and then we all pick a present. Helps that there’s not many of us and are all female.
I got an eyeshadow pallet, pocket mirror and a little notebook.

I know OP! Can't wait to see what's inside. I suspect baby things (I'm 30w pregnant).

We asked everyone who wanted to be involved to put down a few ideas of what they liked and that was added to the ticket they pulled from the hat.

I'm pretty easy to buy for tbh 😂

Harry Potter pyjamas! I did well!

I got what I think is a penguin flask with a top which just pulls off, so wouldn't dare put it in anything to carry and holds maybe 150ml of liquid at a push.

I think it was a random regift of a DC present.

Useless and the giver either knows nothing about me or couldn't be bothered.

I am not even sure it is worth taking to the charity shop but dislike just throwing stuff away.
