What are you looking forward to today?

Its my first day of leave until the 6th Jan and probably my only day child free.

Im actually looking forward to going into town and doing a few last bits. I never get into town. Ever. Its like a rare treat!

And also getting my hair cut.

And just being alone for 6 hours!

School finished yesterday. I've taken the day off and the DC and I are off to the matinee performance of the panto, and out for high tea afterwards.

Working on Monday, then off until 30th

Getting the keys to our new house, or at least getting the call from dp to say he has them (I can't get the day off work).

I've got my mosaic class this morning - I only started a couple of months ago but love it, it's so relaxing and has really helped me rediscover my creative side.

Then it's my work Christmas meal - I'm self employed but there's a group of us who are all self-employed in the same field who go out every year.

I'll carry on working into next week but it hopefully won't feel as pressured as usual!

Driving over to the small town my friend works near to meet her for lunch. Buying a few small items for presents. Buying food to make tapas with DS for dinner tonight, his GF is coming over late afternoon. Playing on my gaming console for a couple of hours when I have the house to myself.

My carpets are being cleaned today so looking for my house being done and ready for Xmas

Going out tonight with all my family to Dunham Massey lights.

My first day off too just looking forward to a day in. I love reading what other people are up to! My temporary contract just ended at work so I'm in need of a rest before I start looking for other stuff. (been doing lots of applications, plus finishing off lots of work and ending a freelance project) I've watched a Christmas film while wrapping some remaining gifts. Fine a load of washing so my fave sparkly jumper is clean for the weekend. I'm going to do minimal amount around the house and try to rest blus have a bath. Then going to theatre later (this sounds slightly fancy but it's a local small/ indy one with no actual stage) so actually looking forward to it all. Except doing the dishwasher!

Thanks and just to say it was fantastic. We left our hotel in Euston at 9, got there at 10.45 (slow train) and went in at 11.10. Back in gift shop at 3.20 with a very quick stop for butterbeer and a sandwich- I recommend taking your own.
We all loved it and athough it was busy it wasn’t as bad as it could have been and we saw and did everything.

Just having a quick coffee before collecting DS from school. His last day before the holidays. Had a breakfast with him at school today then lunch at DD's nursery. Been out for a walk with DD, she's chilling watching home alone and eating crisps. Will have wine when we get home 🍷
