Its my first day of leave until the 6th Jan and probably my only day child free.

Im actually looking forward to going into town and doing a few last bits. I never get into town. Ever. Its like a rare treat!

And also getting my hair cut.

And just being alone for 6 hours!

We have a pantomime with DS and friends tonight and I have 3 hours to myself in which I intend to get the house sorted and continue reading "Poirots Christmas" in peace. It sounds boring but it can't wait!

Mumof1andacat · 20/12/2019 07:21

Going back to bed when I finish work

lifeisgoodagain · 20/12/2019 07:22

Nothing, end of year reconciliation day, can't go on annual leave until it's done. Ditto payroll, ditto tidying my pigsty of an office. Petty cash reconciliation should be particularly interesting considering one of the team forgets to fill in chits! Hitting subway on the way to work for unhealthy breakfast supplies!

KatherineJaneway · 20/12/2019 07:36

Seeing family this evening

moglovesmincepies · 20/12/2019 07:39

Taking my stepdad out for Christmas lunch. Dm is at the hairdressers and we thought-why not!

Ellapaella · 20/12/2019 07:39

@Bickles amazing! I'm taking the kids in March and cannot wait. Have a great time, what a lovely way to start the holidays!

CazM2012 · 20/12/2019 07:42

The kids finish school at 3.15, can’t wait for no school runs for a couple of weeks, but mostly my new settees are arriving today after 3 months waiting Grin

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 20/12/2019 07:43

I'm going to Hever Castle this evening. It's one of our Christmas traditions and I love it.

Bloodybridget · 20/12/2019 07:48

Going to a concert with a friend tonight. And seeing another friend this morning. Between the two, probably a nap, as I've been up since 5.30.

RhubarbAndMustard · 20/12/2019 07:51

Taking the kids (7 & 3) to have tea with Santa, then having drinks with friends tonight. Perfect day. Back to work on Monday but enjoying a few days off this week.

Lipperfromchipper · 20/12/2019 07:54

goingtoneedabiggercar · 20/12/2019 07:57

I've been cleared to drive after my c-section so me, DS, DH, DMum and DSis are having a day out at the shops, I'm buying the wee mans Christmas stocking and we'll have a bit of lunch. It's so good to be able to get out, I had SPD while pregnant.

Iwanttoseethesea · 20/12/2019 07:57

No work - I finished on Wednesday .
Christmas food shopping
Long walk by the sea
Christmas film and nibbles
Steak and peppercorn sauce for dinner

BrieAndChilli · 20/12/2019 08:00

Last of work until the 30th.
We are having pizza for lunch and hopefully will finish early in which case I’ll pop to Tesco and the garden centre farm shop for some cheeses.
Need to sort beds out as niece and nephew are coming to stay tomorrow as looking after them while my sis and BIL work and they are coming Xmas eve after work
Wrap some presents tonight.
Had a tidy last night so house isn’t too bad.

Cineraria · 20/12/2019 08:07

It's DS1's last day at preschool, so I'm looking forward to some one-to-one time with DS2 this afternoon doing something Christmassy. We might decorate the Christmas cake. He loves helping in the kitchen.

Tiggles · 20/12/2019 08:08

I'm organising a little team of people to cook up some massive batches of soup which will then be used to feed children over the holidays who would normally have free school meals.

Shannith · 20/12/2019 08:10

Riding and medium trot

elQuintoConyo · 20/12/2019 08:15

Collecting DS from school at 3.
Going ice skating with his class at 5.
Having best friend over for dinner, she's in town for Xmas from Colombia, we go to UK tomorrow so it's a very small window we have to meet up. Very excited.
Oh, and at 10 DS' school concert will be on TV, local channel. I have errands to run this morning, but can't leave until that's finished!

Witchend · 20/12/2019 08:45

Bedtime.

@Bickles leave plenty of time to get there. We went yesterday. Takes 45 minutes at that time according to Google. Took nearly 2 hours. Good thing I'm always paranoid about being late and decided we could always mooch around if early!

Chottie · 20/12/2019 08:50

I'm off to yoga today and then just chilling and finishing off the Christmas house prepping :) I will listen to Christmas carols and just relax and savour the day.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 20/12/2019 08:51

I'm off today (got one more day of working next week) so I've got all the errands to do. Get out to big Sainsbury's and get Xmas puddings, go to B&Q cos I've got a bit of DIY to do, possibly go out for a beer tonight after a dog walk. No kids so Xmas is pretty minimal for us tbh.

Crunchymum · 20/12/2019 08:57

I'm looking forward to a lazy day.

Kids finished yesterday, its pissing down here and we are all just lounging around in our PJ's.

It will probably be our only lazy day until Boxing Day now though.

DinosApple · 20/12/2019 08:58

@Soontobe60
How fabulous, congratulations! Flowers

I'm on my first day off until 6th. It's my first term working in a school as a TA so the holidays are great. Last year I worked 6/7 day weeks so this is glorious!

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 20/12/2019 09:01

I am off work for 10 days. DC2 has an inset day, but is going to MIL's after lunch. I will have an hour or two home alone before DC1 gets in, and am going shut my eyes on the sofa and listen to radio 3. I might finish the Aldi truffles as well.
