What did you used to get in your stocking!

and when I was little I always used to get plastic slip on fluffy mules that would be broken before boxing day was over.

Mine was similar to other posters.

I'm 34. We always got a satsuma, pound coin and bag of chocolate coins at the foot of the stocking (actually just one of my dad's socks!). Then a few toys - I got a Playmobil doctor one year; a book; some novelty bits (like those little men with sticky feet you could throw at the window and they'd walk down) and, as I got older, toiletries/make up.

Early 30s

I'm mid-40s - the stocking was always my favourite bit of Christmas, and I love making them up now for my DS. It's just the feel of them with all the mysterious things inside - love it! He's been!!

We always used to get an apple, a tangerine (lol at PP putting them straight back in the fruit bowl, am sure we did the same), a pound coin, chocolate coins, Turkish delight, and as PPs said, toys like a magic slate or little paint set, doll's clothes, dress up books, etc. Good times.

My mum said her brother always used to get a chocolate smoking set in his stocking - chocolate pipe, cigars, cigarettes etc
