What’s everyone doing this weekend?

OP posts:
Shoxfordian · 13/12/2019 14:18

I'm going to dinner at my cousin's house tonight, and out for afternoon tea with my friend tomorrow. What about you?

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 13/12/2019 14:21

14 hour shift tomorrow, 12 hour shift on Sunday...

...with pneumonia.

Kind of dreading it. Love my job, but still dreading it.

GnomeDePlume · 13/12/2019 14:38

Shovelling horse poo on my allotment. Lovely and warm once you get going.

How about you?

FudgeBrownie2019 · 13/12/2019 14:41

Tending to DS1's every whim as he's unwell. Going out with friends tonight. A football match tomorrow. DS2's dance show Sunday.

And, best of all, cocktails Sunday night with friends. I've also got to make time to hide in the loft and wrap al; of the Christmas presents.

Ginfordinner · 13/12/2019 14:42

Welcoming DD back from university.

joystir59 · 13/12/2019 14:42

Walking the dog X 2, both Sat and Sun. Housework washing shopping cooking. Making sure OH ho had just had extensive surgery gets lots of small nutritious light meals. Making sure MIL is ok ( she lives with us). Walking into town to buy Christmas cards and stamps as well as some more food for OH who needs a high protein diet to heal after the syrgery

rhubarbcrumbles · 13/12/2019 14:43

Watching my assorted offspring doing assorted sports most of the day tomorrow, no idea about Sunday - wrapping presents and putting the tree up perhaps.

Goldensunnydays81 · 13/12/2019 14:48

Going to get our Xmas tree tonight and then tomorrow hopefully off to a local farm and then RHS garden that has got all the trees lit up! Then Sunday making our gingerbread house and decorating the house!

Besidesthepoint · 13/12/2019 15:03

Surprise visit to a friend 2,5 hours away whose birthday is next week. I can't go on her birthday next week because they need to take a parent to the hospital for chemo. Her DH thought that a surprise visit from me would cheer her up so I'm going to meet them at a football celebration thingy of their son, have a nice afternoon and we booked a table for us all in the evening. I can't wait to see her face when she sees that I'm there.

AdaFromYorkshire · 13/12/2019 15:09

Gardening, planting trees and repairing a wall. Might give Christmas a passing thought on Sunday evening.

charm8ed · 13/12/2019 15:14

Collecting my 2 of my DC from uni, yippee!

I8toys · 13/12/2019 15:20

A quiet one after weeks of running around. Will be prepping for Christmas wrapping and organizing. Can't wait.

cheninblanc · 13/12/2019 15:26

Dd 16th birthday, so lunch out in London, winter wonderland and time together

caperplips · 13/12/2019 15:28

visiting Belfast for the weekend, really looking forward to it

happypotamus · 13/12/2019 15:28

Tomorrow: mostly ferrying DC about, DC2 has to be taken to a trip with Rainbows in the morning and a friend's birthday party in the afternoon, DC1 has to be taken to a swimming lesson and wants to go to the library.
Sunday: DC are out with a relative. I hope to tidy up a bit, order their Christmas shopping, wrap some presents, have a nap, go to church. I am then working a night shift.
Also, need to at some point write and post Christmas cards and make and order 2 photo books for DC's grandparents, because I think the deadline to do both in time for Christmas is looming or has already passed.

TheBitchOfTheVicar · 13/12/2019 15:32

Some running, some carolling

confusedofengland · 13/12/2019 16:50

DH & DS1 are actually taking a morning off from football training! So we are going ice-skating in the morning. First time for all the Dses so think it will be hard work, but fun! Then they are going to Premier league football in the afternoon (12-8), so I'm taking DS2 & 3 to see Home Alone at the cinema. Then I'm at a friend's house for drinks in the evening.

On Sunday, DH & DS1 will have a football match in the morning & I'm working in the afternoon. Then homework in the evening.

ims0rrydarlin · 13/12/2019 16:52

It’s my 30th birthday tomorrow. Partner has planned a surprise, so we shall wait and see! We’re in a long distance relationship so looking forward to seeing him. I’m full of cold though so hopefully I feel better.

iklboodolphrednosedreindeer · 13/12/2019 16:54

Working overtime on Saturday morning
Finishing off the Christmas decorations
Strictly and a few beverages

Sunday - lie in
Lunch with MIL (really looking forward to that it should be lovely)
Chill out, His Dark Materials

I wrapped DH's presents today and they're under the tree - DS too old for Santa now.

Ginfordinner · 13/12/2019 17:00

Happy birthday for tomorrow @ims0rrydarlin Cake

JayWayney · 13/12/2019 17:40

Grieving! Attending a support group for EU27 citizens

runwithme · 13/12/2019 17:53

Night in with the DC as DH is out. DH is working tomorrow so just me and the DC again. Football training, food shopping, then the cinema maybe and some Christmas present shopping. Sunday will be football match and a relaxing dinner.

thenightsky · 13/12/2019 17:56

I'm going to attempt to walk half of the Parkrun as I am now 10 weeks post-hip replacement. Then I shall be running DH and adult DS to their hobby Christmas do and picking up again late. Sunday I'm entertaining adult DD and her DP.

PennyGold · 13/12/2019 18:07

I'm doing my tenth 5k park run! I haven't ran for a few weeks due to chickenpox so I'm excited.

ShouldI101 · 13/12/2019 18:35

I'm going out for the day (part of the day) to a Christmas craft day with my best pal. I haven't seen her properly for ages so I am very excited. And hoping to make some lovely things.

My husband and kids are carrying on like I'm emigrating to Australia. They will have to manage without me for all of 6 hours.
