What’s everyone doing this weekend?

to all those under the weather and caring for someone who is ill.

I will complete the Christmas shopping if it kills me.

Also buy and write Christmas cards.

A massive cleanup and probably two trips to donate clothing and misc items, laundry of all spare bedding, inventory of pillows, and reorganisation of both bedrooms in my home as three adult DDs are about to descend on me and youngest DD for a week at Christmas. Note to self buy earplugs.

Hoping to batch cook enough to feed myself and DD4 until 21st December.

I'm currently sat in an airport lounge in Japan waiting for a connecting flight to another part of the country where my DS lives! We're spending Christmas and New year here together. Really excited to see him.

10 mile trail run this morning in lovely gales and rain, followed by a birthday meal tomorrow!

Kids are going to their dads . Was going to do lots of jobs but got a cold and feeling sorry for myself so just going to try and finish Christmas shopping and then do some wrapping .

Saturday - Frozen then birthday party and then home for dinner.

Sunday - no plans yet

Keeping my fingers crossed that the plague has left our house- the DC have been tag- teaming with viruses, A&E trips, illness and waking up at all hours. We're all knackered and now well behind on Xmas prep but both DC seem better today 🤞

Need to put up the Xmas tree, decorate, write Xmas cards and order few last presents.

Little walk as the Dc have been housebound - there's a pub en route so we'll stop and watch a bit of the football.

I'm trying to gear myself up to brave the post office collection point as I missed a parcel yesterday. Then this afternoon we'll put the Christmas tree up.

Tomorrow we're visiting my sister to drop off presents and meet her new dog while we're there.

DD and DH are at her swimming lesson. I’m supposed to be tidying and cleaning, the house is carnage after a very very busy week! Also the Sainsbury’s delivery should come while they’re out.
Later on we’ll get the tree, take DD to a party and then decorate and watch Strictly.

Tomorrow we have a big Sunday lunch with all my old uni friends, I’m looking forward to that.

I’d also like to curl up with DH and a glass of mulled wine and do nothing, but not sure that will happen!

I'm off to Panto with my Rainbows this afternoon, looking forward to it very much! Possibly a stop off at McDonald's for a burger afterwards depending what town is like (will have my own girls and a friend's dd to bring home on the bus).

First I'm going to finish two small, handmade, gifts for a friend's granddaughters that I need to give this week, and decorate her Christmas cake. Plus a bit of housework and washing. Might supervise homework too so that's out of the way and done.

No idea what to do tomorrow - maybe ice my dad's Christmas cake.

I need to squeeeeeeze in gift wrapping for the girls at some point so might have to hide myself away upstairs for a while (it's hard to find time when you're all out in the day, & they don't go to bed early like when they were toddlers, isn't it!?)

Driving to bloody Bournemouth (from Warwickshire) round trip to pick up daughter and her beloved computer from a Uni - and back

Going to have a walk by the sea and do the Christmas tree trail and ice rink, as compensation 😀

Put up decorations last night and still have a few to do

Lots of laundry and getting the house straight, as we have DS1 here until he moves into his new house so lots more 'things' loads of bin bags around the house, not really a problem though

OH is fitting a new element into the oven. Its only two years old and this will be the third one

Going to vcollect some Christmas presents do food shop and return the Christmas jumper I got wrong for DS2

Had a friend's 40th birthday party last night. Had been looking forward to it for ages but I have got an awful sore throat/lost voice and both DS2 and I haven't been well for a couple of weeks so we didn't stay long. Felt bad for leaving early but my friend said I looked exhausted and should go home to bed, so I did!

Been to see DH's team play football this morning, then done some Christmas shopping this afternoon and took DS2 to McDonald's for lunch. Back home for tea and paracetamol as feeling rough again. Waiting for PIL to return DS1 who's been to the panto with them this afternoon. Out to tesco later to get some snacks/drinks.

Tomorrow DH has football training in the morning so DSs and I will have a lazy morning and hopefully they'll have a lie in. Then more Christmas shopping and wrapping in the afternoon before DS1 has swimming.

Only 7 more days at work until I have a week off. I am barely hanging on, I need to sleep!

Today: Christmas activities at pre school, quick food shop, I’m binge watching The Good Place with DC1&2, DC3 is harassing DH.

Tomorrow: DC3 is off on “holiday” with my DBro - he lives on a small farm by the coast and it’s DC3s turn to go visit for a week. Works well for me as I have a deadline and will be locked in my office until it’s done.

Today I got my nails done, popped into a friends for a coffee, made waffles and then went with the teens to get our Christmas tree and we then decorated it. Then I went and hung some pictures and put some washing on. Now I'm chilling, watching Strictly later. Tomorrow I will see my Dad and then I'm going up to town (London) shopping with DD for Xmas presents.
