All,

I know emotions are running high regarding Labour/Conservatives.

We all have reasons why we vote the way we do and I am not staring this thread to get into a slanging match as to who is right and who is wrong.

Honestly based on what has happened so far what do you think is going to happen. No rude comments please!

Let me start...

  • Conservatives will definitely be the largest party. Majority of 35.

I think it will be hung with the conservatives the largest party.

MrsPear · 10/12/2019 09:29

Unfortunately I’m feeling very negative and it will be another gridlocked hung parliament. This will mean huge economic impacts especially for those that can least afford them obviously.

WhenYouCantRunYouCrawl · 10/12/2019 09:33

Slim Conservative majority.

If I had two choices I would say hung parliament too.

Tory majority

Shmithecat2 · 10/12/2019 09:35

Tory majority

vinoandbrie · 10/12/2019 09:35

Tory majority

Abelino · 10/12/2019 09:41

I'd really like the result to be something where the main parties actually have to work together because the current divisiveness is so damaging, but I think the tories are going to get a majority.

fluffysocksgoodbookwine · 10/12/2019 09:52

I’m hoping for a hung parliament, leading to a Labour led coalition.
I expect there’ll be a slim Conservative majority.

sunglasses123 · 10/12/2019 09:54

Abelino. I agree for major issues, funding and reviewing the NHS and homelessness for example I would love to see a cross party group looking at big issues. Also negotiating Brexit-send our biggest hitters to get a fab deal.

sunglasses123 · 10/12/2019 09:56

Could someone remind me please. What does Labour need to get in terms of seats and how many other seats do they need from say the SNP?

OP posts:
wowfudge · 10/12/2019 09:59

It'll be a hung parliament or a Tory majority. I think we'll find there will be switches in some seats which voted for Brexit from Labour to Tory which will be an anomaly of this GE. There will be a lot of tactical voting. It will be interesting to see if turnout goes up.

Shmithecat2 · 11/12/2019 14:49

@sunglasses123

Current seats -
Conservatives 298
Labour 243
Scottish National Party 35
Independents 24
Liberal Democrats 20
Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) 10
Sinn Fein 7
The Independent Group for Change 5
Plaid Cymru 4
Green Party 1
Speaker 1
Vacant 2

Labour need another 83 seats to get an absolute majority (326).

AuntSpiker · 11/12/2019 14:56

Hung parliament, Tories with more seats than Labour but Labour forming a government propped up by the SNP. Followed by a Scottish referendum next year which will result in a vote in favour of independence this time.

forgivemeimnew · 11/12/2019 14:58

Conservative majority

turkeyontheplate · 11/12/2019 14:59

Tory landslide. Hell in a handbasket.

Helmlover1 · 11/12/2019 15:03

Hung parliament. Hopefully a Labour led coalition.

billysboy · 11/12/2019 15:08

If there is another hung parliament will that not lead to more arguing and talking about things rather than decisions being mad and put into action

remember the last 3 years

SilverySurfer · 11/12/2019 15:12

Conservative majority.

wowfudge · 11/12/2019 15:21

The Daily Heil was begging Tory voters to come out in force earlier today so they're worried.

kingsassassin · 11/12/2019 15:23

The Daily Mail is more likely to be worried that bad weather and an assumed tory victory stops tory voters from voting.

ManonBlackbeak · 11/12/2019 16:22

Slim Tory majority.

AdoptedBumpkin · 11/12/2019 19:10

I think the Tories will win. (I'm not voting Tory)

pootroll · 11/12/2019 19:15

Tory which will make me sad.

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/12/2019 19:16

Hung parliament. Possibly ending in a Labour and SNP pact.
