What’s everyone doing this weekend?

Trip to the high street tomorrow morning, primarily for DP's secret santa present for work from the charity shop. Then we'll have a browse in Morrison's and get some Xmas treats in.

Then I'm wrapping presents in the afternoon with Radio 4.

Sunday, me and DP are both working (but from home so that's okay)

Just arrived at MIL's, as DP and I are staying with her for the weekend. Getting married next week, so we're having a do at MIL's synagogue tomorrow. Sunday we'll chill and maybe go to the park if the weather is fine. Then home Sunday night.

We were going to do Winter Wonderland again, we went last weekend, this time with DM, but DS2 has a cough and has had a tummy bug, so I don't want to risk giving either to DM or very ill DS1, who lives with her.

Legoland tomorrow and swimming on Sunday. Will catch up with the CBeebies panto somewhere in there too.

Tis the season!

DS (10) has BMXing in the morning then a Christmas afternoon tea with my family. Then we’re going to stay with friends overnight and have a takeaway and a few drinks. Not sure about Sunday yet but I’m sure we’ll do something!

My sister is coming to take my 18 month old for the day so I can chill out with my week old baby 👶 I will be eating biscuits, breastfeeding and watching shit on TV

Steam train Santa special on Sunday with all the DGC - always a highlight of the run up to Christmas.

Lucky enough to have today and Monday off. DH and I are out doing a bit of Christmas shopping this afternoon - we’ve made a good start so decided to reward ourselves with a glass of wine and tea out, so that’s where we’re headed now. Tomorrow I’m taking mum to the Christmas markets, then we’ll watch the Manchester derby, probably at a pub! Sunday we are doing a Santa dash, then I really need to get lots of bits sorted at home. Monday will be more sorting and some online Christmas shopping, and I have booked a sneaky spa treatment in the afternoon. Very much looking forward to it!

Was supposed to be football for DS1 in the morning, but he has mankytoe (ingrowing toenail - hopefully been fixed for good on Monday) so he can't play. So decorating tree in the morning as no-one has been arsed thus far

Local Christmas fair in the early afternoon

Off to my friends house at 5 as its our christmas night out (yay!) Do not care what DH does with kids.

Sunday morning will be off to the garden centre for a magnificent fry up. Then back home to normality

Early afternoon off to National Trust place for their Christmas open house thingy. I shall probably be trying not to throw up.

Evening helping DS1 with last minute homework I expect.

Going to see Santa at London zoo on Sunday 😁

Working. Counting down the next 6 weeks until maternity leave!

My parents are coming to visit for the day tomorrow, haven't seen them in ages so looking forward to that. Dc (all teens) are looking forward to it too.

So was dh, but he's unexpectedly had to go and sort stuff out for his dad, who has rapidly declining Alzheimer's though he's only 74. He'll be back Sunday night, but was working last weekend so not seen much of him.

I'm going to finish the online part of Christmas shopping, and possibly start some wrapping just to get ahead of myself

Cleaner was in this morning while I was at a hospital appointment for my disability, so my biggest aim for the weekend is to keep the kitchen clean!!

Having a girly night in with my best friend with wine and a takeaway and then taking the children to see Father Christmas on Sunday.

Turkish tonight (vegetarian moussaka, salad, bulgar wheat) then quick shower jump on train later.

I've got to scrub the carpets, go to storage unit to sift through and see bf Sat/Sun.

It's cold and rainy here and I urgently need to sort out the terrasse before the last remaining plants turn into 'yukky stuff', then there is the general pre Christmas / end of year clean up.
Lot's of baking left to do (second round), I need to write the cards for the few reamining elderly relatives
DH is still away caring for his DM, luckily he for the most part only needs the internet to do his work.

Taking son to John Lewis tomorrow to find a new dining table as his birthday present then maybe a sea swim and see my mother.
Then in evening we’re joining friends with their adult children and our daughter and fiancé for a supper party. We suspect their daughter and boyfriend may be making an announcement.
Sunday will be church then daughter’s future MIL is coming to lunch and we’ll show her the church and wedding reception venue.

Christmas shopping 🛍

I'm off for the much recommended on MN Spa Weekend on Sunday for two nights. Saturday is DH's birthday, so his choice of day.

I have been ill with a virus for over a week but feeling better now so getting the tree up and taking stock of what I still need present wise, sorting what’s sitting in bags upstairs and writing the rest of my cards. Easy food and catching up on tv in the evenings.
