I cannot stand peanut butter to the point where if it’s in the house I feel uncomfortable Hmm Butter from peanuts...it’s just wrong!

What popular foods can you not stand?

Another peanut butter hater here. Also, when in season, Cadbury's cream eggs .... shuddering at the thought ......

sproutsandparsnips · 04/12/2019 15:52

Marzipan. Yuck.

puds11 · 04/12/2019 15:52

@MrsExpo god yes they are grim! What’s the stuff in them called again? Is it fondant?

Barsh · 04/12/2019 15:53

McDonald's tastes of salt and fat. And I usually bloody love salt and fat.

KnittingSister · 04/12/2019 15:54

Peas Envy (not envy)

MamaWeasel · 04/12/2019 15:54

Olives and tea.....

tiredandgrumpy · 04/12/2019 15:54

Ketchup
Vinegar
Mayo, salad cream etc

There is a theme. Why does the world seem to assume people like vinegar?

MikeUniformMike · 04/12/2019 15:56

They are pudds11. Sometimes a savoury flan
has that texture too but at leaste they don't taste of vanilla.

Just had work's xmas party menu and the vege. options include:
butternut squash starter and mushroom main, but NO beetroot or goat's cheese.Yay!

TroysMammy · 04/12/2019 15:58

Chocolate flavour things eg sauce, ice cream, mousse, milkshakes but not hot chocolate, cake or pudding.
Sweet pastry eg Mr Kipling apple tarts.
Peanut butter
Earl Grey tea
Ferrero Roche

Franklymydearidontgiveadam · 04/12/2019 15:59

Pigs in blankets. Two forms of the same animal in one go. The bacon is always fatty too.
Eggs (minus cakes)
Porridge (I can only eat with lashings of golden syrup)
Rice pudding
Smoked cheese
Smoked fish
Peanuts

MikeUniformMike · 04/12/2019 16:00

Vinegar is vile
Chutney
Sweet and sour anything

Notreallyhappy · 04/12/2019 16:00

Beetroot 😛

MikeUniformMike · 04/12/2019 16:01

Porridge made with milk. It's like eating fresh baby sick.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 04/12/2019 16:02

Baked beans. The thought of them makes me feel ill.

Charm23 · 04/12/2019 16:02

There are quite a few popular things that I really dislike but I promise I'm not as fussy as I sound:

  • Fresh Tomatoes, Cucumber and Beetroot
  • Coleslaw (but strangely I like everything in it just not the combo)
  • Watermelon and Bananas
  • Ketchup/Mustard/Brown Sauce etc. (I eat mayo tho!)
  • Baked Beans
  • Marzipan
  • Trifle or anything with cold custard in it
  • Christmas Pudding or anything with dried fruit in
  • Most savoury dishes that have sweet stuff in (curry with fruit in, sweet and sour stuff, etc.)
  • Dark chocolate
  • Avocado/Guacamole
  • Chutneys and Pickles
  • Coffee

... and probably a few more things that I can't think of right now!

Spied · 04/12/2019 16:07

Broccoli is the only food that makes me wretch. Although I hate
Meat (any)
Sweet corn
Beetroot
Kidney beans
Tinned tomatoes

Nuttyaboutnutella · 04/12/2019 16:08

Avocados are disgusting.
Cinnamon, u can taste even the slightest hint. It ruins everything.
Cherry flavoured foods.

SunshineDays2019 · 04/12/2019 16:09

Cooked cheese and any strong uncooked cheese
Olives
Marzipan
Almonds
Walnuts
Coffee

Alcohol in food
Fennel
Celery

TheNinkiestNonk · 04/12/2019 16:11

Mushrooms
Olives

ltk · 04/12/2019 16:12

Baked beans. And I love beans in pretty much any other form. It's the sauce. Blech.

White sliced bread. Mushy and odd.

SexlessBoulderBelly · 04/12/2019 16:15

Bacon.

Salty grossness as I like to call it. Ugh just cannot see why everyone raves about it like a bloody trend.

lovelygreenjumper · 04/12/2019 16:15

Agree with a pp re eggs. Particularly cold eggs- slimy, smelly vomit inducing things. As a vegetarian I am frequently presented with egg sandwiches at work meetings (it used to be cheese, which I quite like, but eggs seem to be more fashionable at the moment). Even if there is a non-egg veggie choice they're usually next to egg and taste slightly eggy. I have considered pretending to be vegan but I would be outed when I use milk in my tea.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 04/12/2019 16:16

Peanut butter
Salted caramel
Bananas. I’ve really tried to like them, but the texture is just rank. And the taste
Brown sauce
Custard in any form
Rice pudding
Vanilla
Earl Grey
Olives

MikeUniformMike · 04/12/2019 16:16

Cinnamon
Cloves
Orange flavour chocolate
Mint flavour chocolate
Lavender flavour food

Ferretyone · 04/12/2019 16:20

Marmite = vomit
