Who buys individual Christmas cards?

I thought most people bought Christmas cards in packs if they're bothering to do cards. Who buys individual ones from card shops? They're not all 'to a lovely sister this Christmas' etc. And they take up half the card shops' displays!

My brother did send a few individual ones to each of my family this year but he's a bit odd Grin

I still haven't heard of any one sending Happy Easter cards either but they still appear that time of year in the shops.

My mother expected it so I still buy them for my sister / brother in law and niece .

@TheNoodlesIncident
My mil loves a good verse . We always say if it makes us feel queasy it’s a winner .
See ^^ Upthread for my this year’s offering .
I buy from Moonpig generally as she is from the midlands and therefore MOM .
Then I glitter the crap out of it !

MIL does. The nastiest,glitter-iest, naffest ones in the shop. I don't send any cards at all so she never gets one in return!

Bit of a tangent but it's my DC's first Christmas in school and they have a post box to post cards. Do I need to do 30, for everyone in the class, then a few for the other class? Because that seems nuts. But picking kids would imply leaving some out (he likes nearly all kids in class).

I enjoy getting and receiving cards in the post, but we only send about 15-20, to relatives and a few friends. Most friends our age don't seem to do cards. Every year we have fewer to send as well, because older relatives are passing away Xmas Sad

Yes in the early years we sent to everyone in the class.

You can buy big packs of 30 in most of the big supermarkets especially for this @badguyduh. Always small square ones with a bit of glitter and cheerful pictures. It's quite a hard task for YR to write so many though, be prepared to step in and spread them over a few days. I had a reluctant writer but it was good practice for him...
