Help name this baby!

We are meant to be registering DS2 tomorrow. We had provisionally chosen Theodore with nn Theo or Ted, but I'm just not sure. Worried it is too popular/faddy and will date. We went out yesterday to a soft play and felt like every other boy was Theo. I do love the name though but worried he will end up one of many. Do we stick with it or go with something else? Other options were Samuel, Gabriel or something else. What do you think he looks like he would suit?

Theodore with Ted as a nickname. He’s got an old-man-grump look about him (in a lovely cute baby way) and I think Ted suits him perfectly.

Theo is Such a cute name! And not too cute that an adult wouldn’t suit it.

Gabriel is really feminine sounding. Quite girly. Not a fan.

Samuel sounds a bit like a dogs name although I like Sam.

Just reread and you weren't really looking for other suggestions. Sorry! Go with Ted or Theo, the latter may be popular at the moment but I don't think it's faddy.

Theo is nice but it is popular - fwiw my DS has a popular name (ironically, it's also universally hated) and other than having the first letter of his surname used in school it's never bothered him/us. If you like it go for it!

As you can't name him squishy cheeks I think you should name him Gabriel. It's one of my favorite names and at the top of the list if I ever have another one (and it happens to be a boy).

I looked at the photo before reading the post and immediately thought "He looks like a Theo" ...🤷

Ted or Rory for me. He is just wonderful (and this thread is bringing back memories of posting the same thing myself, over two years ago now).

I think he looks like an Edward. DC thinks he looks like a Russell!
