...sounds like Phoebe from Friends wrote it.

i love Robbie, seen him live loads, got most of his albums but christ on a fucking bike this song is dreadful. i bet even Gary Barlow winced, and he’s the actual king of cheesy rhyming songs.

time to pack away those tiger underpants, Robbie. your ship has well and truly sailed.

Good Christmas songs in recent years...

I like Leona Lewis's One More Sleep - it's light and catchy and doesn't attempt to be too deep. I'd rather listen to that than anything by Cliff Richard or John Lennon as on the whole I'm not keen on listening to millionaires pontificating on the meaning of the birth of Jesus.

And....

'Geraldine McQueen'/ Peter Kay Once Upon a Christmastime because it is explicitly written to be an utterly cynical attempt to create an instant 'classic' and takes the piss out of Christmas songs generally. (Was Gary Barlow involved? He usually writes the Peter Kay songs.)

He sings Bad Sharon with the boxer, can’t remember his name but he’s known as The Gypsy King.

@ItsJustTheOneSwanActually When DH and i heard it last week we were like "Christ, is he skint?"

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Because on top of this terrible 'tune' there's also the awful Let Me Entertain You version for the Aldi advert. It's GOT to be for the cash surely.

@WingBingo yep. Tyson Fury. Awful.
