What little things do you wish were possible?

I wish I could knit/embroider whilst reading, would make cozy days just perfect.
I wish flowers lasted a few days longer.
I wish you could forget certain things to experience them again for the first time

I always wished I could do a cartwheel. I tried and tried but it was impossible.

Click your fingers and the house tidies itself like Mary Poppins.
And tea parties on the ceiling
Jumping through paintings
Carousel horses going round places
Penguin waiters.

tobee · 27/11/2019 16:54

Time travel.

Ok, so that's not really little.

Collision · 27/11/2019 16:55

That things didn’t need doing so damn often.....

Dusting
Hoovering
Cleaning teeth

Butterflycookie · 27/11/2019 16:56

Bernard’s watch
Fly
Teleport
Bring those back from dead
To find things we’ve lost over the years

PuppyMonkey · 27/11/2019 16:59

Dinner cooks itself and all the shopping gets done instantly.

tenredthings · 27/11/2019 17:01

That my dog could shut the door as easily as he opens it !

Pearlbarleynecklace · 27/11/2019 17:02

Never having to clean teeth would be good. Just naturally perfect. Never having dry feet. Never smelly.

FelicityBeedle · 27/11/2019 17:21

Ooh I’d love to get rid of the need for tooth brushing, I’m always cosy in bed and have to get up to do them before sleep

Oh, I agree about teeth taking care of themselves! They should be self-cleaning/self-healing. Surely we have the technology for that nowadays?

ElectricMistofelees · 27/11/2019 17:31

I really agreed with your first one about knitting whilst reading until my husband pointed out the fact that I also have a fairly serious audiobook addiction! Confused Completely hadn’t occurred to me, problem solved and I now rip through them on the library app!

FelicityBeedle · 27/11/2019 18:37

I have lots of books that I haven’t got on audio though, and some that I don’t think of enjoy so much out loud

OP posts:
reefedsail · 27/11/2019 18:49

I would like to just be able to absorbs books mentally- having to hold them up and use my eyes is just too tiring sometimes.

An audiobook isn't quite the same because I want to read with my own inner voice.

reefedsail · 27/11/2019 18:50

Actually- not feeling tired would be good. It's a bit of a pain in the arse needing so much sleep.

Elieza · 27/11/2019 18:55

My neighbours dog to just stop barking incessantly all day every day.
It’s a little thing.
That’s driving me crackers.

thistimelastweek · 27/11/2019 18:57

@tenredthings. I think it was Mark Twain who said a dog is always on the wrong side of the door. (I paraphrase)

tenredthings · 27/11/2019 19:17

This is so true Grin

Lllot5 · 27/11/2019 19:41

Wish I could draw.

BertieBotts · 27/11/2019 20:31

I wish you could unscrew your boob and leave it with the baby.

Yes I know I could leave him with a bottle but it would probably leak everywhere and also you have to think about it in advance.

Witchend · 27/11/2019 21:46

I'd like to turn invisible.

ssd · 27/11/2019 21:48

I wish all the homeless people sleeping on cardboard I seen in town today had homes. I can't imagine their despair. And I can't understand a country who re elects a government who doesn't care about this.

ironickname · 27/11/2019 21:49

For my prayers to be answered.

KenzoBaby · 27/11/2019 22:41

To not have to wash and dry my hair.
Or at least to be able to do it all whilst sitting on the couch watching Netflix. Hate the sound of the hairdryer and hair flying in my eyes whilst drying it.

KenzoBaby · 27/11/2019 22:43

I also hate:

  • filling up with petrol
  • emptying and filling the dishwasher. Feels like I do nothing else sometimes.

In fact, I often feel like the main point of life is just trying to stay on top of the dishwasher and laundry.

yummytummy · 27/11/2019 22:45

i wish i had a magic money tree..... ok not a little thing but still
