To feel sorry for Katie Price?

I don't feel sorry for her and I also don't get the hatred for Peter Andre. They divorced what 10 years ago. Who has been the one in the papers making a drama of their life and who has been the one to pull back from the media and just get on with their life?

I do feel sorry for Harvey. Her other 4 kids have their dads to look after them and protect them, who does Harvey have?

userxx · 27/11/2019 08:19

Absolutely not, I can't feel sorry for anyone who spunks that kind of money. She and her kids should have been set up for life.

Kazzyhoward · 27/11/2019 08:21

she should sack her advisers

How do we know her advisers have done anything wrong? I think it's more likely she's just ignored them.

I'm an accountant. I tell my clients how much tax they will have to pay over the coming months and year or two so they can save enough to pay when the date comes around. Most take heed and put the money in an interest earning deposit account. Some just ignore me and spend it and then hope they'll earn enough next year to pay it - i.e. robbing Peter to pay Paul. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

WhoKnewBeefStew · 27/11/2019 08:35

It's her kids I feel sorry for, can't be healthy growing up in the environment she creates. With the exception of Harvey, at least the other kids have their Dad to give them some form of stability.

She's definitely got issues and problems and it seems people use her time after time.

absopugginglutely · 27/11/2019 08:37

I think there’s clearly some trauma there. She behaves like someone with deep psychological issues so is deserving of compassion but at the same time it makes me shudder to think of those millions of pounds down the drain, her poor kids.

pp12 · 27/11/2019 08:43

I’m a celeb 2020 and any other show like it. Coming to a tv near you...

PineappleDanish · 27/11/2019 08:44

no one who can help just a string of dead beat exes

And whose fault is that? This woman has spent the last 20 years lurching from one disaster to the next, having a baby with every man who looks in her direction. She is a total mess, and I can't believe that people are still interested in following her car crash existence.

Her poor children.

Roussette · 27/11/2019 08:46

She could so easily have been set up for life. If she had taken careful financial advice and invested say just £5M of the £45M, she would have enough for the rest of her life and enough to look after Harvey etc. She could've blown the rest and not missed the £5M

DobbyTheHouseElk · 27/11/2019 08:49

I think she probably does have an addiction to coke. I expect that’s where loads of the money has gone.

I worry what the next headline will be with her. I’m sure filming her life can’t be a good thing, she constantly has to have drama to keep the camera interested.

bohemia14 · 27/11/2019 08:51

I liked Katie when she was in the jungle years ago, when she met Peter. He was the best thing that ever happened to her and she's never recovered from losing him.

However I have no sympathy for her at all. She has shamelessly paraded her children for her benefit, failed to pay people money she owes them and milked her mother's illness for publicity. She's had holidays most hard working people can only dream of. She's stuck her finger up at the law over driving offences.

And most of all, that shocking episode when she was caught - apparently knickerless - drink driving but climbed into the back seat and refused to say who was driving the car. As someone who had a family member smashed to bits by a drunk driver I have zero sympathy any more.

PineappleDanish · 27/11/2019 08:56

She could so easily have been set up for life

Indeed. She had a successful modelling career and other businesses - for a while I was in the buying department of a store which stocked a range of riding gear fronted by her. But I think she is just too uneducated, shallow and dim to do any forward planning and take any interest in things like tax and financial planning.

Plus the men she's hooked up with in the past haven't been known for their towering intellects either.

Dementedmagpie · 27/11/2019 09:19

I thought I saw somewhere that she asked to be on I'm a celeb this year, but was turned down (of course half of what we read about her will be rubbish, so might not be true)
But I'm not sure doing reality tv is good for MH.

BlackCatSleeping · 27/11/2019 09:29

Did anyone else read about her apparent rant on a train in the Daily Wail? Apparently they turned her down for Celebrity X Factor and she thinks Strictly doesn’t pay enough.

I think some people think going bankrupt is an easy way out, but I’m not sure it is.

IWorkAtTheCheesecakeFactory · 27/11/2019 09:34

I feel incredibly sorry for her (as well as all the people she affects with her behaviour) as well as acknowledging her own part in her demise.

I don’t think PA was the trigger for her spiral. I think KP was always going to go this way. I think she’s hardwired to be like this and no-one can save her. Plenty have tried and she’s even tried to help herself but none of it sticks. That’s why I genuinely believe it’s illness. External factors exacerbating it. Perhaps if she hadn’t ever been bullied as a child and her mum had managed to steer her away from stripping she’d never have seen half the disaster she has done but I still think she’d have found it somehow. I think that’s just who she is and would be Whether rich and famous or not. We all know of normal people who seem to always make the wrong choice. It just doesn’t make the papers. Some people are just hardwired this way. It doesn’t make them bad people and they probably beat themselves up plenty for it.

DuckWillow · 27/11/2019 09:36

I gather she has (or had) a pretty serious coke habit. That would clean you out pretty quickly if you allowed it.

I do have some sympathy for her though as she clearly has body dysmorphia and a whole host of other MH issues going on.

I find it pretty sad tbh.

IWorkAtTheCheesecakeFactory · 27/11/2019 09:42

And most of all, that shocking episode when she was caught - apparently knickerless

Why the fuck is that relevant?

PowerHooper · 27/11/2019 09:51

I find the £45M weirdly fascinating. Is that a figure that the DM has come up with as a back-of-envelope guesstimate of her various book deals/calendar deals/endorsements, etc, over the years, or did someone go through her company accounts to tot up actual declared income? And unless she's spending 8 hours a day having her infills done, that £1500/week on manicures is hiding some other expenditure - would love to see the VAT receipts for that.

IWorkAtTheCheesecakeFactory · 27/11/2019 09:57

Yeah £1500 a week on mani/pedis is just bonkers. There’s no way that’s the real figure.

Lots of people have MH issues and a hard life, they don't behave like she has.

She is just a narcissistic, entitled, arrogant dimwit who's only talent was flaunting her cosmetically enhanced body, perpetuating the objectification of women.

It is a sad indictment on society that she was ever given a platform to sell her wares and made money from it.

Hopefully she'll disappear into obscurity now and have to get a proper job like other people.

IWorkAtTheCheesecakeFactory · 27/11/2019 10:10

Lots of people have MH issues and a hard life, they don't behave like she has.

And lots do. Just without the resources and media spotlight she has. MH issues and past trauma don’t affect everyone the same way.

BlackCatSleeping · 27/11/2019 10:10

It’s often tax that forces celebs to go bankrupt. They are earning high, then their career drops and they get landed with a huge tax bill. If they are selling her house though I suspect she will find it hard to get a new place if she’s been declared bankrupt.

Dard · 27/11/2019 10:31

I bet in private she is in meltdown and is going to end up going even more low rent.
It must be so hard for her older children who are witnessing the car crash and must cause them so much stress and embarrassment, she should step out of the limelight I doubt she will very sad

OP posts:
IWorkAtTheCheesecakeFactory · 27/11/2019 10:40

I don’t think it’s even private. It’s clearly public!

Dard · 27/11/2019 10:46

She obviously puts on a front in public is what I meant that she doesn't care.
She must know unless totally deluded her big earning days are over very sad she is a laughing stock.
