Exploding Kittens card game- any good?

Good reviews then! Seems quite a lot of money at £15 so wanted to be sure.

We bought it based on the reviews here but didn't really love it. It was fine but nothing special and soon dumped in the Cupboard of Doom.

Any other similar older childrens card games or small games recommended while I'm asking?!

We like uno, monopoly deal, etc.

Dobble is OK but it's not as meaty or deep as ek.

We didn’t like it, took it on holiday but ended up buying another (dodgy) copy of uno from a gift shop.

I like exploding kittens. It's silly but as strategic as you make it.

I hate it. Kids (13 and 12) love it. I just don't get it at all.

We love it as a family with a 12yo. I generally hate all games like this and will happily join in this

We love it. 10 yr old and 7 yr old insisted we played if every night on holiday.

We love exploding kittens, played it a lot on holiday. However the latest card game we play as a family is One Night Ultimate Werewolf which is fab when you have a large age range of players. Or for older children the game Selfish is quite good.
