Just that really! The amazon reviews seem to be either one or five stars...

Is it a good game? (My dc are 9 and 12)

Thanks.

We love it here, kids 10 and 12

Themyscira · 25/11/2019 19:20

Hilarious! Very fun.

Brilliant!

gerbo · 25/11/2019 19:29

Good reviews then! Seems quite a lot of money at £15 so wanted to be sure.

We bought it based on the reviews here but didn't really love it. It was fine but nothing special and soon dumped in the Cupboard of Doom.

gerbo · 25/11/2019 19:31

Any other similar older childrens card games or small games recommended while I'm asking?!

We like uno, monopoly deal, etc.

Was considering Bop It Tetris for them to share....

Well I bought it for ds after everyone on here raving about it and we all think it’s crap Confused

MyEnormousTurnip · 25/11/2019 19:31

Get Dobble.

WhoWants2Know · 25/11/2019 19:32

Very fun

Winterisnigh · 25/11/2019 19:53

Dobble is OK but it's not as meaty or deep as ek.

It's fab op!we've got sooo many games and it's a winner it really is.

gerbo · 25/11/2019 19:59

Ah, we have Dobble and quite like it. Thanks though.

Seems like EK is a Marmite game! I may have to have a punt.

Can anyone explain Exploding Kittens to me please?

fedup21 · 25/11/2019 20:02

We didn’t like it either.

Corneliusmurphy · 25/11/2019 20:03

We didn’t like it, took it on holiday but ended up buying another (dodgy) copy of uno from a gift shop.

LolaSmiles · 25/11/2019 20:03

I like exploding kittens. It's silly but as strategic as you make it.

Holdingtherope · 25/11/2019 20:05

Exploding kitties is shit

gerbo · 25/11/2019 20:10

Aaargh, marmite reviews again.

Thanks for your honesty though all!

My 10yr old loves it (as do I).

ShouldI101 · 25/11/2019 20:15

I hate it. Kids (13 and 12) love it. I just don't get it at all.

golightlytoday · 25/11/2019 20:22

We love it as a family with a 12yo. I generally hate all games like this and will happily join in this

Logjam · 25/11/2019 20:24

Absolutely a family fav!

HettyPain · 25/11/2019 20:25

We love it. 10 yr old and 7 yr old insisted we played if every night on holiday.

DeanImpala67 · 25/11/2019 20:30

We love exploding kittens, played it a lot on holiday. However the latest card game we play as a family is One Night Ultimate Werewolf which is fab when you have a large age range of players. Or for older children the game Selfish is quite good.
