Does everyone leave work ASAP on Friday??

I’m home already with cuppa after work (im a teacher and we all ran out of school 🤣) and just had a phone call from a friend who was on her way out the door of her workplace. Is this common practice? Who else leaves work early on a Friday!! It’s bliss!!

Same circumstance different setting here. I'm at college 5 days a week. Any "free time" I have not in class and within school hours (child free) I spend in the college library studying apart from Friday. I leave immediately at 12 and have my Friday afternoon to myself. If I didnt and spent the time in the library I think I would go insane. Place is like a second home to me

If you work in retail or hospitality you can only dream of this. Fridays mean nothing.

Teacher here too. I had to attend a speech therapy appointment with a pupil at 2.15 and came home directly from there (the clinic is 5 mins from my house, 45 mins from school). I was home by 3 having stopped off for emergency chocolate 🤣

On the down side, I did spend all morning having the shit kicked out of my legs by a very angry 8 year old!

I'm out of there ASAP every day to be fair 😂 fridays I like a 1/2pm finish, rarely hang around after 4 any day.

I work from home mostly, if I do go into the office on a Friday, I try to leave by 3 at the latest.

I notice our local primary school car park is still full Monday to Thursday at 5.30pm but is almost completely empty by 4pm on Fridays...I'm glad the teachers manage to get out early once a week at least, as many are in really early as well most days.

I don't finish til 7pm on Friday, but that's great cos finish 8pm M to Th. I'm a cleaner and don't start til 5pm!

Yeah, as soon as we close at 7pm, then back Saturday at 9am. Fun.

I don't work Fridays but my office closes at 1pm on a Friday, nobody works past then.

I don't work on Fridays which is fab! 😉 However when I did, the office shuts at 4pm and by 4.01 most people were in the car park.

But I do find that a lot of people drive like twats on a Friday though and it's like wacky races driving home any time after 12pm!

I always did. Mind you I resent working a minute more than what I'm paid for.

I stayed a bit late to get set up for Monday as I have got a meeting first thing and won't have time then.

Where I live it seems friday is wfh day for most people - breakfast and afterschool club always have spaces and the station is less busy. Unfortunately the business me and DH are in is crazy busy on Fridays. I'm guessing he wont be home till 8.30 ish.
