Would you like your own John Lewis ad soundtrack?

Take the song that was at no 1 on your 8th birthday and the artist at no 1 21 years later.

Mine's The Final Countdown by Leona Lewis.

Think that might just work....(particularly if you were born in the 1970s and therefore have access to power ballads)

Ariana has the right kind of noodelly voice...not sure about the song choice though Grin

He'll need every bit of falsetto he can muster for that one

@bruffin
Now I'm doing Peter Kay-type mash ups in my nut. "Stand and deliver, whoa whoa, the tears of a clown"

"I wanna sex you up" covered by Gary Barlow and the common wealth band ConfusedHmm

nowlook · 18/11/2019 11:07

@RosieposiePuddingandPi We'll have to do a switcheroo with that one and have Robson & Jerome gurn their way through Ciao Adios or similar.

@WhenYouCantRunYouCrawl Well, at least Alexandra Burke will actually sing it, rather than mime along to a sample and get royalties not rightfully hers! (you may or may not be aware of the controversy given you were eight!)

nowlook · 18/11/2019 11:09

@meandmyboyz That represents quite the change in direction for John Lewis. Maybe once they've ditched the Waitrose partnership in favour of Love Honey?
