Can I ask people who like it which of the storylines are their favourites?

It’s a guilty pleasure kind of film. Really cheesy and rubbish in many ways, but I absolutely love it and have seen it loads of times. Just accept it for what it is and enjoy.

Mine is Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman.

The Emma Thompson one is depressing, I thought, is there a decent resolution to it (I can't remember)?

The Emma Thompson Alan Rickman couple are by far the most realistic and also the most heartbreaking.

I havnt ever seen this film and quite a few ppl have mentioned Emma Thompson as I'm watching I can see what's happening I'm now dreading the outcome I really don't want to cry
I probably will as I'm a wuss

I used to enjoy it, but watched it last Christmas and was horrified, so many offensive parts.

Aww I do love it although it is very of it's time.
It is ridiculous how they keep referring to Martine McCutcheon as fat or chubby when she is nothing of the sort.
I have a soft spot for is as it reminds me of being on the other side of the world backpacking at the age of 23. I went to watch it at an open air cinema to watch it around Christmas and it reminded me of England and made me feel a bit homesick as it's so British.

It’s terrible. Keep your expectations low.
