I like the new JL one today, it's cute.

But my absolute fave is the JL one from 2011. It was the year DS2 was born and it still makes me well up Grin

The Irn Bru one. To the soundtrack of the Snowman. Where the snowman steals his irn bru and lets go of his hand!

Emmagen · 14/11/2019 17:33

The one with the little boy who can't wait for Christmas so that he can GIVE his presents!

MyfanwyMontez · 14/11/2019 17:36

The old Woolworths ad with Anita Harris . “Have a Cracking Christmas “ - used to make me so excited for Christmas when I was a kid.
Don’t make them like that any more.

HerBigChance · 14/11/2019 17:42

I like the Famous Grouse ones.

MissRabbitNeedsAHoliday · 14/11/2019 17:43

The one with the little boy who can't wait for Christmas so that he can GIVE his presents this one for me too!

Worlds0kayestmum · 14/11/2019 17:46

Ah that brought a tear to my eye. My DD was also born 2010 and I remember holding my little baby getting all dewy eyed over this ad.

This is my favourite (first attempt at posting a link so not sure if it will work) it's a French mobile phone ad

MongerTruffle · 14/11/2019 17:48
This Polish one brought tears to my eyes. (You don't need to speak Polish to understand it.)
TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 14/11/2019 17:49

The ? 1980s Yardley advert. I wanted to be the posh little girl who passes the presents.

The Coca-Cola truck adverts. I don't mind them being updated every year or so but it's always the first advert of the season that gets me excited. Plus we grew up in pubs and I loved the special Christmas labels on the old style glass bottles of coke in december. Never liked the drink itself though!

FadingStar · 14/11/2019 17:53

I actually quite liked the 2012 Asda ad [hands in feminist credentials].

mynameisMrG · 14/11/2019 17:54

Coca Cola for me too

AlbertWinestein · 14/11/2019 17:58

I LOVE the Polish one. And the French one come to that. English ones, it’s the Buster the Boxer one, especially when someone made a parody of it after Trump won the election.

LizzieSiddal · 14/11/2019 18:03

I loved the Sainsbury’s one which commemorated the Soldiers playing football together during WW1.

FutureDays · 14/11/2019 18:05

Irn bru and famous grouse

LizzieSiddal · 14/11/2019 18:07

Oh I just watched the Polish one, it’s wonderful!

MiniMum97 · 14/11/2019 19:07

The JL 2011 is my favourite. Thought that was the first one they did of this type but just watched the 2010 on your recommendation and that's v good too! Now etching Christmas JL ads and having a little cry!

maddiemookins16mum · 14/11/2019 19:07

I like the Anchor butter one where the Granny gives the child a squeeky toy, it’s brilliant. Closely followed by Monty the Penguin.

Steamfan · 14/11/2019 19:09

Sainsbury and the Christmas Truce, also any of the Famous Grouse

beepbeeprichie · 14/11/2019 19:26

I hope this link works.... 2010 Pedigree Chum Grin

I liked the one with the little boy excited to give his present too, and the Christmas Coca-Cola lorry one.

I also loved the Mog Christmas one, very sweet and nostalgic!

User1924 · 14/11/2019 19:32

The JL snowman one

Not a fan of either Trump or Clinton but it made me laugh - for anyone who hasn't seen it:

nowlook · 14/11/2019 20:23

Oh ffs. Something in my eye for both the French and the Polish videos.

I tend to go by the songs. So, Slow Moving Millie's version of please please please (little lad waiting to give his parents their present) is my favourite. And also less realistic than a haphazard dragon.
