Mornings - coffee or shower first?

Good morning 🙂 which one wakes you up more?

Shower!

Pre-DC definitely a shower but now there's no telling what time LO will wake up so I have a hot drink (normally tea) first thing then shower when they nap.

I make the cuppa first, then shower.
by the time I'm all clean the drink has cooled enough to drink quickly.

Coffee. Takes me about half an hour to come to before I can face the shower!

Tea! I can’t function without tea

Coffee in bed first definitely.

I brush my teeth before showering so don't have coffee afterwards.

I'm sitting in bed drinking my coffee before heading for the shower. By the time I've drunk my coffee the bathroom will have warmed up properly - heating had only been on for 15 mins when i made my coffee (which DH usually makes but he was away last night).

I did coffee first today but felt much more awake after showering. Maybe by then the caffeine had kicked in though?

I wash my hair etc at night but if for some reason I do shower in the morning, I do that before anything else.

I used to always shower and dress before anything else, but I'm often up very early and now (new) bathroom is close to DP's bedroom I have breakfast - inc large mug of black coffee - first to avoid disturbing her. It feels like a nice gentle start to the day to be downstairs in my dressing gown for a while.

I'm going to be a maverick and say I don't do either in the morning :P Can't face anything but the bare necessary so I'm usually out of the house (with two under 6) in 30 minutes from the alarm. Once I get to work then I can have my tea and start to wake up a bit.

Tea first, in bed, always before I do anything else.
Even if I have to be up and out really early I will set the alarm half an hour earlier to allow myself a cuppa in bed -- DP usually does the same, and we're usually joined by incessantly chattering DD and a pet or two!

Coffee first! I can't cope with waking up and immediately jumping in the shower like DH does

Snap! It also stops me taking too long in the shower because we've all learned the hard way that tea is delicious when it's hot but inexplicably disgusting cold. It's like avocados - it all changed too quickly!

I think if I tried to get in the shower first I’d collapse! I definitely need a coffee first. I do envy those who can just jump out of bed and get going right away, but I will never be one of them.

A nice strong Chinese tea in my large mug first.

The idea of having water touch my body straight out of bed makes me feel a bit queasy. Not sure why!

Hmm. I think the shower wakes me up, but I don't really feel 'with it' until I've gone downstairs and sorted myself a coffee. I'd love to sit downstairs first thing and enjoy a coffee before the shower but I feel dirty sitting in PJs in the morning and it just stresses me out

Shower comes after the gym.

Make the coffee. Get in the shower. Drink coffee.

Or, get dh to make coffee and drink in bed. Then shower.

DH brings me a cup of coffee every morning in bed, I drink it in bed then have my shower.

Both, a shower on a weekday when I am rushing to get to work then breakfast and a nice leisurely cup of tea in bed on the weekend with a long shower afterwards.

Neither.

I’m not great in the mornings so do the bare minimum before work, quickly pop on some makeup and get dressed. I then have a coffee when I arrive at work.

Juice, then shower then Yorkshire tea, two bags in a large mug, brewed for at least 5 minutes. If the spoon won’t stand up in the tea, it isn’t strong enough
