HELP me find this song!! 2000-2007 Terry Wogan R2

This is not going to be easy! I'm showing my age and will probably come across as a bit weird but here goes....

I used to listen to Terry Wogan on R2 on my way to work and he played this song almost every day for quite a while... Could have been any time 2000-2007 I've not heard it since but I loved it!

I have NO idea who sang it ... I don't know what it's called and I don't know any lines...

I'm not religious at all but It's got a 'Christian' message .all about God loving us etc. and how wonderful life is..it was quite repetitive at times.

It was by someone well known and I remember thinking at the time that the person had been part of a group at one point. Even as far back as the '70s
They had other songs with a religious message too but not all of them did...

I thought it was Van Morrison, Aaron Neville, James Taylor but I don't know...

Oh! I'm now blubbing all over Sailing to Philadelphia! My Dad used to play it...

I’ve actually joined Mumsnet to say I think you might mean Gordon Haskell How Wonderful You Are. He certainly championed him and that song and brought it to public attention. Not sure it was religious though!

It was definitely more upbeat than this but this is why I thought it might be VM... I kind of remember it being preachy (in a nice way) like this...

@Elodie2019 I used to drive to work in that era listening to the Terry Wogan show too. Really remember him playing the Gordon Haskell song and Eva Cassidy too and bringing them popularity. Will put my thinking cap on to try to remember what you mean!
