there is nothing "shitty" about carbohydrates, our bodies need a balanced diet to function properly
Sure, but there is no such thing as a no carb diet, even cucumber has carbs, it's low carb as a percentage of your full daily intake.
Ketosis isn't unhealthy as a pp said, our bodies burn fat instead of glucose very efficiently, and many people feel better when using fat for p energy rather than glucose.
It's proven to reverse the effect of seizures in children and type diabetes in all and is now being researched for the impacts on other issues like Parkinson's etc as it may be beneficial.
Our bodies can either burn glucose or fat for energy very efficiently. Personally when burning glucose I get cravings, am lethargic etc. Where as when in ketosis, or burning fat I'm full of energy and my appetite is regulated.
If we think back to how humans used to live, burning fat would have been the way we operated day to day. Burning glucose and laying down fat layers of anything not burned, was not the way we lived day to day as our food sources weren't carb heavy, we would have done it occasionally then laid down our fat layers.
And simoly because people are used to that now doesn't mean that it's the most healthy way for us to live. As the rise in obesity shows us.
And as said, there is nothing wrong with carbs, they are in many things, inc all veg, but simoly keto teaches you to moderate them.
