DD is ill and because it's the middle of the night I'm panicking and overthinking things. Anyone else awake and need company ?

Dd wet the bed just as I nodded off and now I cant get back to sleep. Such a busy few days coming up too. Also overthinking.

Hope your dd is ok

WagathaChristie · 06/11/2019 02:20

Yep we have had a wet bed too but because she threw up on it. I'm sure she will be ok I think she has norovirus but because she has a lot of gastric issues I'm wondering if it's something else but I'm going to see how she is in the morning.
Hope you get back to sleep.

4 year old cane into my bed whilst I was feeding the baby. I asked him to go back, he said no, I took him back. He’s now having a tantrum and has woken up his older brother. I’m now awake and the baby will be up for the day in 3 hour. I hate my life

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 06/11/2019 02:20

I've become nocturnal since being widowed. I have downloaded the headspace app and have been using the sleep casts, but they only work if you are a bit sleepy or tired, too often I have to play two or three to get to that point.

Hope your little one is feeling better soon OP

cannycat20 · 06/11/2019 02:24

Have always been nocturnal. An ex told me I was like a vampire once...Plus the cats haven't been well and didn't enjoy the fireworks, though we got off lightly, there weren't too many. Except now I think I might have overdosed them slightly on catnip with valerian accompanied by Enya....

TrixieFranklin · 06/11/2019 02:25

My little nephew had surgery to remove a massive tumour yesterday (tues) which went very very well and I can't sleep because I'm so overwhelmed with hope for him and the adrenaline after waiting all day whilst he was under preparing for possibly a very poor outcome and then getting the great news that it was a success when it was over has left me unable to sleep. I couldn't be happier to be unable to sleep.

Oliversmumsarmy · 06/11/2019 02:25

Insomnia.

My Melatonin hasn’t kicked in and I feel wide awake

Oliversmumsarmy · 06/11/2019 02:25

Been up since 4.30am

WagathaChristie · 06/11/2019 02:26

@Napssavelives that sounds shit. I remember the baby and toddler days it's not fun. I hope you manage a power nap in the day.

@AndNoneForGretchenWieners Thanksx

I'm not really sure! Dh has a cold and was snoring so i went into the spare room and now can't sleep.

Wingingthis · 06/11/2019 02:29

Because my 2 year still, never has & it appears never will, sleep through 👍🏼

Wingingthis · 06/11/2019 02:30

Up because my adult dd had some worrying symptoms. Rang 111 who advised she go straight to A&E. Mainly symptoms of heart attack but other nasty red herrings thrown as well.

She has been triaged and told to expect a 4 hour wait. This gives me confidence that its nothing worse than a virus. Her boyfriend is with her. I couldn’t go with her as I have another dd with additional needs who is asleep. Dh away on business so I can’t contact him.

I feel knackered and am going to bed with the phone.

Cegbee · 06/11/2019 02:33

41 weeks pregnant and I'm so fed up with not going into labour every night that I can't sleep. Plus I'm catastrophising about my likely induction on Friday.

Pinkywoo · 06/11/2019 02:34

Because my two and a half week old likes to wake me up every hour and a half to be fed, apparently he's having a growth spurt. 😴

PotterHead1985 · 06/11/2019 02:38

Haven't been to sleep yet. Pain and insomnia.

WagathaChristie · 06/11/2019 02:50

Hope everyone manages to sleep or to stop worrying.

@TrixieFranklin that's amazing ❤️
@fortifiedwithtea I once got rushed in with heart attack symptoms and turned out to be a huge anxiety attack 😳. I hope she's ok.

DD has just been sick again and is doing the worst farts ever it's not pleasant to be sharing a bed with her.

Up at this time every day, think my body clock has adjusted itself to tie in with when the baby wakes up and apparently needs to feed for four hours straight. Every night. Alarm goes at 5am for work. Went to bed at 8 so have had some sleep at least. Not quite sure how I'm still functioning though!

Shalom23 · 06/11/2019 02:56

cannycat29, I would love to be your cat. I'm awake because I started reading at 12. Despite being tired. Have my own lovely fluffy feline purring beside me.

Time40 · 06/11/2019 02:56

I'm nocturnal and an insomniac.

AnyFucker · 06/11/2019 02:59

Insomnia

Wired because of a very busy day at work, reliving all the complex conversations I had

Perimenopausal too

Tapbath · 06/11/2019 03:00

Insomnia, then I get anxious and stressed about the fact I'm not sleeping and that I need to be up in x hours, which only makes it worse!

Snowflake9 · 06/11/2019 03:13

Because my DS 9 weeks old wants feeding.

He has fallen asleep before I can burp him though.

My chest is killing from stopping breastfeeding last Friday as I have a huge cyst and in so much pain I am struggling to sleep anyway.

user1471453601 · 06/11/2019 03:13

I'm awake. Lord knows why, I just am. Unlike most on this thread I don't have small children and I don't need to get up for anything tomorrow. I'll get up when I wake up.

Being awake at silly o'clock really isn't the problem. The problem is that society (and smalchildren) seem to dictate the we "should" be up and about between the hours of 7:00am until 10:00pm.

My sleepy times are from 6:00pm to 10:pm and 4::00 am to 8:00am.

And I'm nearly ready for my next sleep now.

VanyaHargreeves · 06/11/2019 03:15

I've been suffering from consistent Wide Awake insomnia for about a month, as soon as I'm asleep I need to get up, it is breaking me to be honest
