What has been your ‘oh my god’ moments in celebrity gossip?

Mine have been:

• Jay-Z and Solange in the elevator
• Detective Coleen Rooney making her case
• Kanye West ‘imma let you finish’ with Taylor Swift

They all genuinely shocked me when reported, and for the love of twitter VardyGate was fantastic.

And before anyone gets in, yes I have got a life, I just enjoy celebrity gossip as a bit of freedom from the day to day. But well done on you for not caring and being better than me

@SimonTJ it's not really go to do with the fact that they are gay. It is the fact that they choose to hide it and pretend to be something they are not. In this day and age it's not a career ruining thing... so why hide it?

Also if you choose to be a fake straight person in public, while that's your right, it's also not helping gay people to accept themselves and others/the world in general to accept them. It's perpetuating the homophobic Hollywood system where gay actors lose parts and stars are expected to enact a straight self to appeal to their fans, which should be challenged IMO.

Compare it with the TV industry for example, especially in the UK, where lots of actors/presenters are openly gay and it doesn't affect their career (or much less so). You can only get to that point if people stop trying to hide it - though I can see why they do.

What's homophobic is a system where actors/pop stars/footballers feel the need to construct a whole straight life for themselves to hide being gay. The gossip is that they do that, not that they're gay - hence the lack of gossip on this thread about, say, Ian McKellen or Kirsten Stewart being gay or bi.

It's not blind, but the most shocking for me was the Ian Watkins (him from The Lost Prophets) conviction.

It doesn't usually interest me as I have first hand experience of how much bullshit is published, & this one wasn't actually out there as sleb gossip, but it definitely was an Oh my god moment when my long term old friend came back from Cannes having shagged a very high profile married actress. The marriage didn't break down for a while longer & I think I remember the husband was held up as more to blame.
