Your ‘oh my god’ celebrity gossip....

What has been your ‘oh my god’ moments in celebrity gossip?

Mine have been:

  • Jay-Z and Solange in the elevator
  • Detective Coleen Rooney making her case
  • Kanye West ‘imma let you finish’ with Taylor Swift

They all genuinely shocked me when reported, and for the love of twitter VardyGate was fantastic.

And before anyone gets in, yes I have got a life, I just enjoy celebrity gossip as a bit of freedom from the day to day. But well done on you for not caring and being better than me Wink

I thought the references to 'frosty' must be to do with someone up thread liking ice up their bum. Tbh I'm completely lost now everyone is using initials and giving hints rather than using names. But I do understand why we can't always use names!

I read GC likes men, there were rumours about him and his hairdresser going about for years.
Also some other darker stuff rumoured to have happened in his Italian residence.

CocoLoco87 · 05/11/2019 17:09

Who is the Fool?!

HowlsMovingBungalow · 05/11/2019 17:10

Fool, Frosty, All hours, Darling buds ...

CocoLoco87 · 05/11/2019 17:13

My nephew is BA cabin crew. He hasn’t met many celebs, but he does say Graham Norton and Paul O’Grady are both nice.

The surprise he told me about was a long haul flight from New York with Victoria Beckham. She was with the three youngest kids (no Brooklyn). She cultivates this persona of being aloof, snobbish and well....posh. He said nothing could be further from the truth. She was lovely. The children were all impeccably behaved and she was very ‘hands on’ with them - after they’d eaten she cleared everything up and tidied herself and if one of the kids dropped something she was happy to crawl around the seats retrieving things. She really was great apparently.

Not really gossip as such but I have read that the old fool won't some of his older work to be shown on repeat, thus depriving other actors of repeat fees.

LittleTopic · 05/11/2019 17:17

@joyfullittlehippo I’ve heard this too. An acquaintance from back in the day is a former press photographer and said years ago that one of the big papers had lots of dirt. Similar to the 70s entertainer stuff a few years back. Always stuck in my head and have always taken it with a quite big pinch of salt given the source, but interesting that others on this thread have alluded to similar.

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 05/11/2019 17:17

Won't allow - sorry that made no sense

Sagradafamiliar · 05/11/2019 17:19

Think more touch of frost than a tush of frost! Seriously though, those rumours are gutting.

FreeBedForFlys · 05/11/2019 17:19

From what I’ve seen of VB from documentaries she always seems a great laugh. Quick witted and dry.

iSayaPrayer · 05/11/2019 17:26

I am proper gutted about frosty too, Sagrad

Yes I’ve heard other celebs say VB is funny.

Wagsandclaws · 05/11/2019 17:37

I've not actually heard a bad word said about VB either, her husband in the other hand ... 🙄

Butterisbest · 05/11/2019 17:38

Definitely showing my age here.
My most shocking moment was it was revealed that Hughie Green was Paula Yates father. Her mother had denied it for years but DNA showed it to be true. Paula was so shocked, she had no idea that there was any doubt about her paternity.
After that it didn't really surprise me that she went way off the rails and I was completely not shocked when Paula died of heroin misuse.

ExhaustedGrinch · 05/11/2019 17:50

Reese Witherspoon Arrest shocked me!

"Do you know my name Sir?"

"You're about to find out who I am"

Absolute cringeworthy!!

2.5 Man in a black cab with a prostitute cruising around Glasgow's East End looking to score coke Confused

Cheesymonster · 05/11/2019 18:05

This thread is gold! This from a PP really made my jaw drop:-

“But the worst thing about Diana's 300 nuisance phonecalls to the Hoare family was that when she was finally visited by the police, she called in William, who would have been maybe 10 made him take the blame and let the police bollock him“

Trying and failing to think of something to add that hasn’t already been mentioned.

Nippybutsweet · 05/11/2019 18:06

@iSayaPrayer Bravo!!! Excellent threat - maternity leave is suddenly a little less boring x

Nippybutsweet · 05/11/2019 18:07

*thread ffs auto

FilthyBiscuit · 05/11/2019 18:13

Hugh Grant’s mug shot after his liaison and Paula Yates leaving Sir Bob for Michael Hutchinson were jaw dropping moments for younger me.

VictoriaBun · 05/11/2019 18:26

Haha for the post about GC and Lisa Snowdon ! In my head I thought Gemma Collins ! ! Further down the posts I realised not !Grin

HerBigChance · 05/11/2019 18:26

Paula Yates's death was very sad, I thought, and all the more poignant that it was followed by that of Peaches years later.

iSayaPrayer · 05/11/2019 18:30

Oh that Reese Witherspoon video, makes my toes curl.

I never get the ‘I’m an American citizen’ shite, if I was arrested the last thing I would ever say, through hysterical sobbing, is ‘I’m an English citizen’

I wish people would cut and paste the quote they’re responding to cos I really can’t keep up with the @username mentions and seeing who confirms what!
