Thinking of buying this house... but not sure it's got enough plug sockets?

A home run CGI studio company, which needed millions of computers.

MummyJasmin · 04/11/2019 11:55

Lmao!

FabbyChix · 04/11/2019 11:59

Did you steal this from Twitter

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 04/11/2019 12:01

They were probably running an illegal office stealing data or running a boiler room fraud

thisneverendingsummer · 04/11/2019 12:05

WTF? Confused I have literally never seen anything like it.

Why so many plug sockets??? WHY?!!

Did laugh at @Nobhobs comment 'I don't think it's got enough plug sockets!' Grin

I don't wanna be mean but it's a fugly house. Inside and out. And £1.3 million, just coz it's in 'Greater London.' No thanks.

LEELULUMPKIN · 04/11/2019 12:11

I saw that in the DM last week and my first thought was Cannabis Factory!

I showed it my DH as he has a bit of a thing for power points. His eyes lit up! :)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/11/2019 12:13

But people like that tend to move fairly often, when the chance of being traced rears its head - so wouldn't they run their kit off extensions rather than go to the trouble of installing stuff?

sportinguista · 04/11/2019 12:13

Not a cannabis farm, too clean for that and they jack the circuit boxes etc and run cables. House over the road has been busted twice for that and it leaves an unbelieveable mess whole inside including floors and ceilings taken out. Maybe MI6 have it as a safe house/extra base?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/11/2019 12:14

Can an MNer nearby make an appt to see this house, and quiz the estate agent?

Actually that's a pretty good idea - surely there must be somebody who lives nearby? Grin

Nobhobs · 04/11/2019 12:19

Yes did say below saw on twitter and had to share Grin can you steal a link to a public website? Just thought it was funny and thought I'd share with anyone who may not have seen it/have Twitter, interesting to hear people's theories... Grin at porn set.

ChicCroissant · 04/11/2019 12:40

I think it was an office at some point, I also saw it over the weekend and thought it was funny. Strangely, the kitchen doesn't have as many sockets as the other rooms.

squeaver · 04/11/2019 12:48

On that Twitter thread, there's a link to when it was previously listed - with furniture

www.zoopla.co.uk/property-history/41-rushdene-road/pinner/ha5-1sw/39533365

MrsGideon · 04/11/2019 12:56

@squeaver There's still nothing plugged into them all even when it was furnished!

UnfamousPoster · 04/11/2019 12:57

It's the plug sockets up by the ceiling that really confuse me. What the fuck are you supposed to plug in to them??

Nobhobs · 04/11/2019 13:05

Oh I'm disappointed. That ruins our conspiracy theories!

OP posts:
BareKneesDeCourcy · 04/11/2019 13:07

The only reason I’m not buying the house is that I want to be able to precariously balance my laptop on my knees while having a luxurious deep bubble bath, without fannying about with an extension cable. (Whilst drinking champagne and smoking a joint for proper relaxation purposes.)

They clearly haven’t thought this through.

Doingitaloneandproud · 04/11/2019 13:18

Haha this house was renovated and he asked for that amount to be put in, it was a normal house, no interesting back story just a lot of sockets!

You'd never be stuck for a socket Smile

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/11/2019 13:22

Not necessarily, Nobhobs - love the name, BTW!!

Since it was last sold in 2016, and the sockets were present then, the job (?) could well have been done before the current vendors moved in

Illberidingshotgun · 04/11/2019 13:27

That's some high end massage chair in the second lot of photos Shock

BlackCatsRule88 · 04/11/2019 13:35

I may be mid-remembering but I’m sure I read on the previous thread that someone had done some digging and found that the house was registered as a business address and so it was likely to be an office set-up. I could be wrong though!

Travis1 · 04/11/2019 15:45

@squeaver definitely a pron house! That pool table is prime shagging spot, then there will be one where the man comes out to fix the electronic chair in the living room and shags the owner for the granny porn enthusiasts Grin

Travis1 · 04/11/2019 15:45

*porn house not pron house wtf?!?

Examssuck · 04/11/2019 15:46

I need the WHY

Drogosnextwife · 04/11/2019 15:49

That's would be ideal for me.

imiss · 04/11/2019 15:53

Currently buying a house which although not on the same scale as this has plug and tv sockets in every room. Literally adult head height sky tv sockets and a double plug in the middle of a wall in every single room apart from bathrooms in the house, presumably for people who need a tv in every room. So get the pleasure of a fugly wall socket if you don't, like me.
