What (and I cannot stress this enough) the fuck is going on there????

How could you even cover them?
Why would you ever need that many????

MeClavdivs · 03/11/2019 21:42

surely not a cannabis farm. The flooring wouldn't be practical

Welltroddenpath · 03/11/2019 21:46

Each room looks like a upside down jacuzzi bath. I hope the new owners have lots of furniture to cover them all

queenofelves · 03/11/2019 21:46

Just showed this to DP, he thinks the electrician must have hated the painter, have fun getting around all of those Grin

Frouby · 03/11/2019 21:46

I reckon it's been done up recently and either the sparkies weren't getting paid properly so took the piss, or they were trying to get a lads NVQ signed off so let him put a fuckton of sockets in to get all his boxes ticked.

Either that or it was previously a block of flats, made up of very small rooms and they just knocked the stud walls out to make it one big house.

Bizarrely, the kitchen has a normal number of sockets. You need a lot of sockets in a kitchen 😂.

MitziK · 03/11/2019 21:48

Certainly wasn't an outdoor horticulturalist. That garden's not been touched for at least 15 years, other than to cut the grass.

Bet it all looked alright when it was furnished, though - every spot has its own switch, there are power sockets and either aerial or USB/Ethernet sockets everywhere. I wonder whether it was a house being used as commercial premises?

Strangely enough, the kitchen definitely needs more sockets.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 03/11/2019 21:49

oh ye gods.
why???

olderthanilookapparently · 03/11/2019 21:51

I expect the seller will be delighted with the number of views on the website. Surely they must know it's really really odd?

Love the blurb "an array of modern inclusions"????

Nope. It's also up as a rental house. Still looked horrible before they took all the expensive crap out. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-51466233.html

Kdubs1981 · 03/11/2019 22:00

Growing weed...

DropZoneOne · 03/11/2019 22:02

It's up for rent through the same agent, with images of it furnished. There's spotlights on the walls as well as the ceilings!

MitziK · 03/11/2019 22:03

I'm overinvested in this. It is/was the registered address for a building firm.

I don't think I'd want to engage a builder who furnished a house like that.

MitziK · 03/11/2019 22:06

And a logistics firm at the same time. Recently dissolved.

NoParticularPattern · 03/11/2019 22:06

I was all up for telling you that you’re wrong. That I have more sockets than that (12 double and 6 single in the kitchen alone ffs). Oh how wrong I was.

I need to know what they were for- the rental photos seem to have them as some weird feature despite all their hideous crap belongings still being present.

titchy · 03/11/2019 22:07

Shock The second picture, left hand side - THEYRE NOT EVEN LEVEL!!!!!

FlamingoAndJohn · 03/11/2019 22:08

From the link with it furnished, what the fuck is this?

Turns out there is such a thing as too many sockets
Cantstoppiggingout · 03/11/2019 22:09

I was of the opinion that you can never have too many sockets....I was wrong!!

Cantstoppiggingout · 03/11/2019 22:12

@Welltroddenpath,

Each room looks like a upside down jacuzzi bath.

Best comment ever! That's exactly what it looks like.

Iggi999 · 03/11/2019 22:12

One of those miscommunications with your builder, who really should have called to ask "So, this note you've left me about the sockets, is that per room or for the whole house?"

Faircastle · 03/11/2019 22:13

Could that be some sort of massage chair?

Maybe the number of sockets are because they had multiple mains-powered sex toys?

Ostanovka · 03/11/2019 22:15

Even above the mantelpiece. Why??

Iggi999 · 03/11/2019 22:15

Yeah that's a massage chair

Fakeflowersaremynewnormal · 03/11/2019 22:16

I have those spotlights in my kitchen but they are broken and only 3 work but it's still quite bright, with all those it must be like a unbearable.

olderthanilookapparently · 03/11/2019 22:17

@ostanovka I imagine multiple flat screen TVs above EVERY single fireplace

Fuckenstein · 03/11/2019 22:17

The lights are worse than the sockets. It's like the house has some kind of pox.
