Do you fill your child's water bottle the evening before?

I do, but I'm wondering how lazy this makes me.
So, genuine question: do you fill your child's school water bottle the evening before or do you fill it in the morning?

My dd notices if water is the day’s before and it’s hard enough to get her to drink enough! I do everything in the morning anyway.

I often send them in with the same water, they don't drink a whole bottle a day.

I do the same myself if I don't finish it.

I wash water bottles every couple of days and refill as needed and never keep in fridge. We're all fine!

I'm surprised people would be concerned about leaving overnight or not in fridge. Kids put grubby fingers in their mouths all the time, a 48h old bottle of water will be virtually sterile in comparison.

Water from a plastic refillable bottle tastes absolutely rank within an hour or two. I would never fill them up the night before, I'm really surprised people do?! We use stainless steel water bottles which are fine for about a day. Any longer than that an the water starts to taste metallic.

@PixieDustt humans have survived for literally centuries without drinking water during school lessons.

School only allowed empty bottles. Children filled them themselves at break.
