I want to get rid of my top lip hair

My plan us to remove it with Veet and then se Phillips Lumea to weaken its growth. Will I regret it? I'm paranoid it'll grow back stronger...

Go to a salon and get it waxed. Too don't want an unfortunate veet burning episode. I used maid once and it just frazzled the hairs rather than removed them.

Oh no! Oh my god, I can't contemplate waxing and having a red top lip for work...

The redness goes after a few hours. Have it done in an evening or when off work then. It will go red with veet. Veet literally burns it off.

Dont shave it no matter what! (Not that I ever did..) waxing leads to spots. Veet burns if you leave it too long, and requires 8 Hour Cream as a moustache afterwards...

I make do by snipping the hairs short, tweezing the odd one and Veet occasionally.

I use the over counter creams, have done for 20 years and they work great just have to do it once a month

What about threading?

I swear by the dermaplaining razors for all my facial hair, you can get them really cheap on amazon!

I have one of those twizzly spring things with the plastic handles on either end. Works a treat!

Just wax it with the wee strips. Red gone in about an hour

I’d get it threaded; doesn’t come back thicker and you don’t have to wait for it to grow before removing like with waxing

I used to veet but now it gives me burns after just a few seconds. I now wax and the redness goes in about 10 minutes.

Yeah I don’t recognise these descriptions of veet/ nair. I’ve been using the stuff since I was about 13, leave it on maybe 3-4min, take it off and gently pat the area clean with a warm wet flannel - it certainly doesn’t burn (no sensation at all really) and I might occasionally get a little pinkness but only for 20min/ half an hour (I have extremely pale skin so prob more noticeable on me)

I pluck the stray hairs from my top lip and chin every day and have done for about 5 years (I blame hormonal contraception!) without issue. Doing it a little every day means I don't get redness like I would with waxing and it only takes a minute or so.

Just shave it off 🤷‍♀️

Get wax strips from Boots/Superdrug. Easy, quick, cheap! its not red for long.

I used cream for years, which left my skin red and raw for a few hours afterwards. Plus hair grew back really quickly, and I couldnt use the cream every day as it made my skin so raw.

Ive been using the JML Finishing touch hair remover without problem for a few months now. Wish I found it years ago.

Threading. I've tried Veet, Joleen and waxing and would def say threading is the most effective and long lasting. Any redness dies down within the hour. It hurts like a mother at the time though!!

One of those coil facial epilators! A bit ouchy but does the trick.

Been threading it for over 12 years and it's great. Doesn't come back thicker at all.

Lumea will be fine but you need to shave first not beer for it to work. Fresh razor and you will be ok unless you’ve got particularly sensitive skin.

But the thought of shaving it is really scary. Wouldn't Lumea work on Veet'ed skin?

I get mine threaded, along with my eyebrows and chin, every 2 weeks in Superdrug. Very cheap and quick.
