Would your dh appreciate this

I’m thinking of getting dp’s daughter and partner a spa evening as a surprise . Dinks and nibbles on arrival, usual stuff of swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, saunas steam rooms, ice room and cold plunge pool. I’d also book the mud chamber. She will definitely love it and I think he’d enjoy it too. They’re mid 30’s. DP is in his 60’s and doesn’t think men like that type of stuff but when I’ve been for a day with a friend there have been couples there. Would your DP be happy to go?

My husband would prefer hotel and dinner or a bottle of something. He wouldn't go near a mud something, and really wouldn't want to do sauna/pool etc

My dh would always have hated that , but then I wouldn’t want it either . My ds is mid 20s and he wouldn’t appreciate it either .

Neither of us would go for a ‘spa day’ but we are both members of a gym with a spa and both of us will pop down to the spa after a work out. I use the spa also as an hour of winding down, just sit in a sauna or the jacuzzi.
Neither of us would be up for a spa day though, we don’t ever go together as it is. For me, the spa is about relaxation and I get annoyed when there are people chatting in the saunas
There are always couples there though (annoying me with their chit chat) and if they’ve been and enjoyed spas before, they’ll probably enjoy going again.

I don’t have a partner but would loathe and detest a spa day.

My DP is 30 and would love it. He likes to eat and be pampered

Mine would be horrified. Taking his shirt off? Not being able to listen to constant inane fucking noise BBC 'comedy' shows on repeat for elmost every waking hour and throughout the night? Expected to shut up and stay down without going to sleep and snoring his head off? Warmth not caused by him turning the sodding heating on at night to 22 bloody degrees? Possibility of realising his attempts at massages are fucking shit?

No chance.

But he's a twat.

DP and I love a spa and have made it a thing that we go away every few months to a different hotel for a spa weekend. There are always men there as well, equal to the amount of women so plenty do like them..
