Help! Stuck under a sleeping kitten..

Bought baby Demelza home today. She seems happy! She’s been purring and kneading at me as soon as the kids went to bed and it was quiet. I tried putting her to bed in the kitchen with the door shut with her bed, a blanket, water & litter. But she was crying and it hurt my heart!

I came downstairs and opened the door and she was actually in her bed.

But I felt guilty and she was sat At her bowl so I fed her abit (she’s mega greedy! And was actually climbing up the back of my legs for food..?)

And now she’s passed out on me on the sofa!

What do I do? Wake her and put her in the kitchen? Try and sleep on said sofa? 😩

The answer is obvious- you take photos of the snoozing kitty to show us!

Ginfordinner · 22/10/2019 23:09

Photo pretty please.
Can I swap places with you?

Kraggle · 22/10/2019 23:11

You take a photo and then you settle down for the night, or you snuggle her and bring her up to bed with you. I always feel mega guilty when I have to move a snuggled cat.

I couldn't possibly say until I've seen a photo of Demelza.

Don't move!!!

You are now under control of small kitten, toy are it's bed Grin

YobaOljazUwaque · 22/10/2019 23:16

Oh the cute!

You must not move I'm afraid. You will need to stay just where you are for otherwise the kitten will be sad.

PepsiLola · 22/10/2019 23:16

She is your master, you must stay put warm cushion slave

😍😍😍

GiantKitten · 22/10/2019 23:17

Oh!
The little face!
The little paws!
❤️❤️❤️

GiantKitten · 22/10/2019 23:18

You are there for as long as she needs you to be there

Sorry Grin

Mentounasc · 22/10/2019 23:18

You have been incapussitated. The rule in our household is that anyone who is incapussitated has to be waited on hand and foot by other members of the household until such time as the boss cat decides to move.

Just looked back at “where should I put the litter tray?” thread.

Had a feeling that might be you!

Demelza is a fab name & a gorgeous kitty!

(Where have you put the litter tray? Wink)

Cupola · 22/10/2019 23:23

I'm not sure why you think it's appropriate to ask these questions. Demelza has spoken. You have no questions Smile

Darksideofthemoon19 · 22/10/2019 23:26

She woke up so I put her back in the kitchen with blankets. She’s meowing loads 😩😭😭😭😭

Pannalash · 22/10/2019 23:27

Take her to bed with you she’s gorgeous and then repeat for the next 20 years Smile

Darksideofthemoon19 · 22/10/2019 23:28

Litter tray is in the living area and dining room 😂 she’s weed in the livingroom one but hasn’t pooped since we picked her up at 5 apart from in the box?

Mitzicoco · 22/10/2019 23:28

You must retrieve her immediately and resume position on sofa

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/10/2019 23:29

Pretty sure this thread was a very poorly disguised stealth boast Hmm

SpoonBlender · 22/10/2019 23:32

It can easily be a day or three before she'll poo, don't worry about that. As long as she keeps peeing.

Seems to be some sort of reflex, it's very common when rehoming small kittens.

Congratulations on your new overlord!

newreality1 · 22/10/2019 23:34

Oh she is soooo cute Smile

DontCallMeShitley · 22/10/2019 23:34

She needs a cuddly toy and a softly ticking alarm clock under her blanket in her bed so she will think it is a heartbeat.

Otherwise you have to go and sleep with her and there might not be much room in her bed.

I remember times when my bladder was in agony because of someone on my lap, purring away.

PurpleWithRed · 22/10/2019 23:37

Putting her to bed in the kitchen 😂😂😂.

Just take her to bed with you now. She is a cat. This is a battle you are not going to win.

winnybella · 22/10/2019 23:37

You shut a kitten in the kitchen? Why? She must be scared and feel lonely. Just take her to bed with you.

Darksideofthemoon19 · 22/10/2019 23:41

Plenty of people put them in the kitchen? Don’t because I feel awful 😩 I wouldn’t sleep at all if she was in our bed while she’s tiny, the husband is a heavy sleeper and would be scared he’d roll on her 😑

Aw bless. I'm envious.

Demelza has spoken, do as she asks!
