Are supermarket kids clothing any good?

I was wondering if the kids clothing in supermarkets are any good? Particularly, do they wash well and do joggers get bobbly?

Morrisons and Sainsbury’s are generally quite good. I don’t rate Asda for anything (clothes or otherwise). No real experience with Tesco.

IVEgottheDECAF · 22/10/2019 10:45

Tesco Morrisons and Sainsburies all ok

Dont rate Asda at all for clothes

timeforawine · 22/10/2019 10:46

We love the clothing from Adsa/Sainsburys/Morrisons and Tesco, all have washed well and so far managed to get some pretty tough dried in stains out of Asda clothing (beans/chocolate/tomato pasta sauce)

I agree Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s are good and wash very well. I’ve had the odd Tesco but gifted and also good. I’ve just bought joggers in Sainsbury’s and they’ve been through wash and tumbler 2-3 times no problems. Keep an eye out for 25% off on Sainsbury’s clothing.

VenusClapTrap · 22/10/2019 10:50

Just as good as anywhere else, I’ve found.

happypotamus · 22/10/2019 10:51

We have bought or been given kids' clothes from all these supermarkets and never had any problems. Can't comment specifically on joggers, as DDs won't really wear them. We mostly get leggings and tops and they have washed well.

Skyejuly · 22/10/2019 10:54

Love sainsburys clothes nd tesco. Never had an issue at all

Camomila · 22/10/2019 11:00

I most of DSs nursery clothes from Asda, the jogging bottoms and drawer string jeans are fine, sweatshirts are hit and miss, and tops bobble really quickly.

TheScruffyDog · 22/10/2019 11:04

I prefer h&m. ASDA costs I rate but not much of the clothing. Sainsburys is good. Tesco is ok.

TheJoxter · 22/10/2019 11:04

Sainsburys are really good, Tesco are okay

moreismore · 22/10/2019 11:05

Just had email Sainsbury’s Tu is 25% off this week Smile

Gertie75 · 22/10/2019 11:10

Sainsbury's stuff is great, Morrisons wears ok but the sizing is awful, quite often when you go up an age bracket and they are the same length but wider.

Mackerz · 22/10/2019 11:13

Most of DDs wardrobe is from Sainsbury’s. Apart from the stuff grandma buys her which is from Boden.

No problems with Sainsbury’s clothing. Can’t bring myself to spend a lot on kids clothing as it gets washed so much / worn out / she grows out of it quickly.

Most of my gym / running / yoga kit is also from Sainsbury’s and I haven’t had any problems with those either.

gonewiththerain · 22/10/2019 11:15

Morrison’s clothes are really good ( as good as M&S and joules). Only bought Asda joggers but they’ve been good.

Vinorosso74 · 22/10/2019 11:17

Sainsburys hae 25% off now. Most of the stuff DD has had from there has been good.

areyouafraidofthedark · 22/10/2019 11:18

Morrison's is great. I like George's pjs and recently a couple of boys hoodies.

elQuintoConyo · 22/10/2019 11:18

My DM has bought lots from Sainsbury's over the years and most stuff is on its third child Grin

I'm in Spain and don't have access to Sainsbury's, DM doesn't shop anywhere else, do I can't compare it to Asda or Tesco etc.

I buy lots from Carrefour and Lidl, as well as H&M and Zara kids. I might pick up the odd thing like Harry Potter pyjamas from Primark, but very little else.

TheVanguardSix · 22/10/2019 11:19

Tu/Sainsbury's... I even wear a cardigan I bought from there 12 years ago!
Tesco is ok but the clothes shrink, I find.

Pilot12 · 22/10/2019 11:20

I find that ASDA clothes have gone downhill, they shrink, the colour fades, the sizing can be funny on some of the baby clothes and baby dungarees sometimes don't fasten properly around the nappy area because the designer didn't allow enough fabric. I've also had clothes that have got holes in or come unstitched after one or two wearing.

I like Nutmeg by Morrison's and TU by Sainsbury's but I don't buy from them often because there's neither supermarket near me!

I like Tesco but they are expensive and sometimes they fit small.

ColaFreezePop · 22/10/2019 11:26

All children's supermarket clothing is generally fine. Some things from one supermarket will randomly outlast another e.g. I've brought 2 cardigans the same colour and style from Sainsburys and Asda, the Asda one has lasted longer.

BertieBotts · 22/10/2019 11:29

Brilliant for the price.

Butterfly02 · 22/10/2019 11:31

Favourite is sainsburys (they have lots of discounted days too), tesco OK too. Don't like asdas quality.

hotdogwoof · 22/10/2019 11:38

Asda joggies go bobbly

Morrison's wash great.

IVEgottheDECAF · 22/10/2019 11:43

Argos also sell Tu clothing

PumpkinKing · 22/10/2019 12:05

I find Sainsbury's and Asda good quality.
