Hi,

It is half term here - Nottinghamshire, and I was looking at places to take my 3 year old to (Thomas land, cbbies land, think tank in Birmingham are all possibilities)
Is it half term where you are? Thinking about how busy it will be! Thanks!

Google "legoland crowd calendar" etc for the place you want to go to. For legoland, it's predicted to be much busier next week than it is this week, which implies more (local?) schools are on half term next week.

We went to Thomas Land a couple of Saturdays ago and it was quiet hardly had to queue for anything. Definitely take advantage of either Clubcard points or booking online (I did a combination of the two). The Thomas bit is great but we just felt £39 for an adult was a bit steep as outside of Thomas land there isn't really much for adults. 1 big rollercoaster, a medium one, big log flume and a few other rides. The zoo was good though especially the dinosaur part.

Next week is half term in Wakefield, Doncaster and Leeds. I'm not looking forward to it though.

Thanks for the info and for your ideas everyone! Many of the things suggested we’ve done previously and loved, but some other great ideas for days out which I will be googling!

MaryTJ we will be doing (and do) lots of free things like parks, bikes etc but fancied something else for one day of the two weeks I am off school (part time teacher) and my son is off nursery.

I think I’m leaning towards the think tank which looks brilliant!

West Lancs here and I’m on half-term, but Liverpool schools aren’t off until next week.
