This will probably bring people out the woodwork to say they hate so and so celebrity but who are the ones that you never really hear a bad word said about them? My nomination is: Dolly Parton.

OP posts:

CinnamonMentos · 21/10/2019 21:37

Uponreflection · 21/10/2019 21:41

Someone did say Lorraine.

MyShinyWhiteTeeth · 21/10/2019 21:41

I've only met David Attenborough once years ago but he left a really bad, long lasting impression. He was rude to my friend over technical difficulties that she very quickly sorted. My friend had really admired him but felt totally humiliated. I wondered if it was sexism or racism, he was very condescending towards her. A member of his staff sort of made an excuse for him afterwards.

Brian May is lovely.

Oldbird69 · 21/10/2019 21:41

I can't stick Andy Murray. Roger Federer always seems very nice to his fans.

Bubula8 · 21/10/2019 21:42

I cannot stand Dermot O’Leary, he really rates himself!

Haven’t read the whole thread but surely someone has mentions Piers Morgan 🤔

EleanorReally · 21/10/2019 21:42

avamiah · 21/10/2019 21:45

trying to find the one celebrity that no one dislikes

W0rriedMum · 21/10/2019 21:47

Jurgen Klopp.

Even non football and Everton fans think he's a decent bloke. What you see is what you get.

longwayoff · 21/10/2019 21:49

Piers Morgan??? Heavens above.

highlandcoo · 21/10/2019 21:50

YY to Stephen Mangan.

And talking of Green Wing, I used to live in the same building as Julian Rhind Tutt. Charming man with a great sense of humour.

Alwaysrainsonme · 21/10/2019 21:51

Mr Tumble. Justin is a genuinely lovely man.

avamiah · 21/10/2019 21:51

Yeah there are lots I don’t particularly think come across as great like Nicole Scherzinger and Andy Murray and Jonathan Ross and Sharon Osbourne but I think Tom Hanks , Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood come across as being very approachable .

highlandcoo · 21/10/2019 21:52

Oh, and Lorraine wrote a lovely letter to my friend when she'd completed the Moonwalk while recovering from breast cancer. I have a lot of time for Lorraine.

avamiah · 21/10/2019 21:54

W0rriedMum,
Haha, yes there is nothing to dislike about him your right .

areyoubeingserviced · 21/10/2019 21:54

Keanu Reeves
Dolly Parton
Trevor McDonald
Louis Theroux

NannyKasey · 21/10/2019 21:54

Brian Conley, lovely man, saw him at Butlins many years ago, had loads of time for everyone, especially the disabled and the children. DGD1 met him after he appeared in panto last year, he was fab with her, DGD1 loved him. Anyone that my DGDs love are OK with me

katseyes7 · 21/10/2019 21:56

l can't comment on these personally but my ex worked in tv and theatre for years and these came from him.
James Nesbitt - absolutely lovely man. Remembered the names of the crew on everything he worked on, always spoke to them and asked about their families.
Tommy Steele (there's one for the oldies) - apparently he is/was a complete twat. Apparently he was so vile to the crew when he was working on a theatre production of Singing in the Rain, they used to go up and pee in the water tank for the finale....

Miranda15110 · 21/10/2019 21:58

Hate Fiona Bruce she's ruined Question Time with her head girl, clever clogs sneery face!

Pjh1961 · 21/10/2019 21:58

I recon David Jason (del boy trotter)

FizzFizzPlinkPlink · 21/10/2019 22:00

Don't know if I'll get lynched for this but my sil was working at Lincoln Cathedral when they filmed a bit of The Da Vinci Code there or might have been Angels & Demons, can't remember. But all the cathedral staff were told to not make eye contact with Tom Hanks, under any circumstances, because he wouldn't like it.

Robin Williams was a serial adulterer apparently but he did pay all of Christopher Reeves vast medical bills because they'd been best friends since meeting at Julliard.

I've disliked Sandi Toksvig since she was incredibly patronising to Lee Ryan on IQ because he hadn't been to university.

Catsinthecupboard · 21/10/2019 22:00

This is so confusing; i can't tell whom is which? Loved or reviled?
