What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking a cup of tea, have put the washer on already and am thinking about doing some of last night's washing up (cooked breakfast for tea - I couldn't be arsed to wash up!).

Dd1's eating breakfast then getting in the shower before Nanna picks her up for a sleepover.

Dd2's in bed watching Youtube. She'll spend the day here with their dad. Hopefully they'll do homework and reading!

I'll get ready for work shortly, go to work and then nip to Lidl over the road from there.

Pork loin steaks with spicy little spuds and salad for tea, probably in front of the box watching whatever randomness is on.

What about you lot? Anyone up to much?

Just drinking tea and the DC are watching a film.

I'm taking them to the park later while DH does some banging around type DIY.

Then off to my DM's for afternoon tea about 3pm.

Everythingmagnolia · 19/10/2019 09:29

DH is DS currently watching the rugby, DD still in bed snoozing. I am pottering around the house and mumsneting. Going to Whitley Bay later this morning for dog walking and some lunch.

This evening we are out for a posh work function with DH's work.

Nyon · 19/10/2019 09:30

Having a tea of cup after a shower. I need to go return my shiny new vacuum as it’s not working, go into town and then do my housework. A thrilling day!

chesterfuckingdraws · 19/10/2019 09:33

Trying to find the energy to get ready for work!

Finished late last night so didn't get home til almost 3, now need to get some washing done, make lunch and dinner and go to work.
Rinse and repeat for tomorrow, shift work is the worst.

Adversecamber22 · 19/10/2019 09:34

DH and DS are at park run, I over slept and usually go with them. Just tidied up kitchen, meeting my friend for lunch and going for a walk. Playing on my games console later and watching a few episodes of our box set. Going to see if they want a game of risk after dinner it’s a battle strategy board game. I’m cooking a beef and bacon casserole in the slow cooker.

JorisBonson · 19/10/2019 09:34

I'm at work dreaming of being in bed with coffee and my cats

Just made an aubergine curry for lunch, about to have a shower, DD at a car show with DH! This afternoon, washing, sorting kitchen and loads of decluttering to as we are moving soon to a smaller (but nicer) house.

Got to just let go of all these old clothes, I am no longer 30!

DD homework and bath. May watch Toy Story 4 this evening with popcorn.

Flowers to chesterdrawers

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 19/10/2019 09:55

I've sent DS off to do the shopping.
DH is away with work and to check on his DM till next week.
DD is preparing for her first real week at uni - having had introductions and PC organisation up till now. Our broadband is too slow for the tunnel to be effective, though our signal is strong - so I'll have to do something about that (Don't know what yet.)
I've tidied, meal planned and will do some FutureLearn for fun.

RosieandFin · 19/10/2019 09:55

I'm spending my day doing as little as possible as me and ds2 are currently ill and are top to tail on the settee watching Thomas the Tank Engine on repeat. Ds1 is in his room watching tv with toast and dh is at work until lunchtime. I've managed to sort out the pets, bins and last nights dishes so that's me done for the day other than an easy lunch for the kids.

FromTheAllotment · 19/10/2019 09:57

@Nyon having a tea of cup Grin

I’m lazing on the sofa avoiding getting properly up and dressed. DH has taken DD to swimming and DS is watching cartoons. Meh, I need to get in gear.

We’re seeing friends later and then DD will be allowed to stay up and watch a bit of Strictly this evening. Highlight of her week. Grin

I need to do some housework too. The clean unfolded washing is staring at me.

yamadori · 19/10/2019 09:59

I'm getting my trees ready for a national bonsai show tomorrow.

mumderland · 19/10/2019 10:03

DC are playing. I've just put a load of washing in the dryer. Trying to find the energy to get us all ready to go to the shops as DS wants to make a forky today

GoodwithRocksandGems · 19/10/2019 10:05

Drinking coffee right now and looking at the sunny day☀️

Got some baking and cooking to do for an unexpected dinner guest tonight.

Helping my 15 year old revise chemistry and maths for her tests next week.

Need to also walk dog and wash uniforms.

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 19/10/2019 10:07

Need to get a shift on. Will start by pouring coffee down my throat for a while Brew

WineIsMyCarb · 19/10/2019 10:10

Still recovering from flu; nearly 2 weeks in now. Had an early start with older DD so am drinking tea and eating biscuits already while Peppa Pig plays endlessly in the background. Going for a walk to check out 'mysterious public footpath' I've noticed round the corner later. (New to this area).
Big ham, JPs and veg for dinner. Invited to a Halloween party but don't know if I will manage it.
Have to fit in some work at some point too (freelance).

wendz86 · 19/10/2019 10:11

Just at ballet with dd2 . Then pop home before taking dd2 to modern and ballet . After lunch they are both going to their dads . I’m going to do a quick tidy of house , pop to gym for half hour and then park myself in front of tv for the evening .

Bluewavescrashing · 19/10/2019 10:11

Woke up at 7am to hear DS6 quietly playing with lego, DD9 woke at 8am so pretty civilised.

I've cleaned out and fed the pets, put a wash on and will take DD to gym club then piano. DS has sports clubs too this morning.

Then this afternoon we'll scoot to the park, movie if it rains then maybe a pub dinner.

EmmiJay · 19/10/2019 10:13

I've just finished ironing with my brand new Russy Hobbs steam iron. I'm in a ironing water/starch blissful haze atm. Going to get DD into her Saturday finest threads and we're going to do a bit of retail therapy. Then we'll stop by my mums for some grub and then I need to do some food shopping. Love Saturdays!

QueenofLouisiana · 19/10/2019 10:16

Half term for us, so full uniform wash and check- please let it all still fit,DS seems to have grown since September.

Rugby on TV for DH and I, DS will surface in a few hours. Then going to the market and will have a coffee.

Walking to the village pub tonight.

Justkeeprollingalong · 19/10/2019 10:17

Lying by a pool in Istanbul with a glass of champagne. Sorry 😎

YaySeptember · 19/10/2019 10:58

I feel like I have a hangover after spending most of last night with dh topping, tailing, peeling and salting 8kg of onions so today we're doing very little.

Library and Iceland and not much else for us today.

maddiemookins16mum · 19/10/2019 11:19

I’m not feeling great but have pretty much done the very little housework that needs done. DP has gone to get the car repaired and shopping. DD is at a friends house.
I’m going to make some cheese/ham/chutney puff pastry twists for lunch.
We’re having a Chinese Takeaway tonight and will watch Strictly.
I’m planning on a nice bath mid afternoon and a nice snooze on the sofa.

Hoolajerry · 19/10/2019 11:38

I feel so so ill. Everytime I move my stomach cramps and I feel like I'm going to vom. I have a rotten cold and my body hurts. If you can't tell I feel very sorry for myself.
I have loads to do at home to catch up from working all week and I really don't want to be ill. Mighty pissed off.

SagelyNodding · 19/10/2019 11:41

First day of our half-term holiday so it's housework day here... The plumber has just arrived only 2 days late to sort out a leaking pipe in the basement, so we have no water...
I'm tidying, sorting, and vacuuming while he does his stuff. The kids were helping but a friend popped in, so they are playing darts together.
After lunch, I might get my butt into gear and do the food shopping (or go and have a glass of wine somewhere with dh and bring home pizza!) it's so lovely to have a chilled out weekend.
