If she knew there was the possibility it might be published, that’s actually stronger evidence that she is telling the truth.

Or that it was a sure fire way of getting her version of the truth into the public domain.

I thought she lived with him as a teenager and he paid for her schooling etc? I'm not demonising anyone, I think the truth is that there is likely fault on both sides. And that it was all handled it badly from the beginning. Do you think she was behind her friends giving the People interview and mentioning the letter?

This article has lots of quotes directly from Meghan's blog about how amazing and supportive her father was.

People on blogs have claimed that but I’ve asked for evidence before to complete tumbleweeds.

Where is the evidence that she was estranged from him? Her own words in the link I've shared suggest the opposite- she says he filled her car with petrol, drove her to auditions, supported and believed in her etc etc.

Also she went to a fee paying school so someone must have paid it? She has also claimed to have visited her father on the set of Married with Children almost daily after school for a decade, and her classmates say he helped out with lighting for high school productions etc. So where does she claim she was estranged from him for her teenage years please?

Ok so she wasn't on speaking terms with her Dad for an unspecified period of time when she was 19. That is not evidence that she was estranged from him for her teenage years, but that they'd had a falling out. Her friend obviously knew where her Dad lived!

You are quick to accuse others of making stuff up to suit their agenda, it seems you might be doing some of that yourself.

Of course, but it is clear from Meghan's own words that he was involved in her life as a teenager. I don't think making stuff up to suit an agenda is helpful from anyone tbh.

I'm not the one doing it. Involved Dad during teenaged years, plus falling out and not speaking for a bit doesn't= estranged for her teenaged years.

Lmao no. She was normal sized in college. Years of extreme dieting and exercise have aged her and Pippa; probably the only thing she works hard at.

I don’t think (I’m not sure anyone who isn’t British could grasp really) that Meghan has fully grasped the difference between celeb and royal.

As a celeb she had fans - people who were predisposed to like her because they actively sought out shows she was in or articles she wrote or appearances she made - they approached her from a totally different position.

As a royal (like it or not) the British public are her subjects - a position imposed on them by her marrying Harry. There’s a good proportion of the public who would do away with the lot of them, a decent amount who view them as dolls who should look pretty, cut ribbons and for gods sake don’t have opinions, and an unfortunate quantity of people for whom the idea of being the subject of a divorced, black American is enough to bring them out into a frothing rage - it’s that faction that the tabloids play to as they’re the most vocal. You can’t reason with them because they didn’t reason themselves into their position on Meghan.

Really the only option is to either put up, shut up and spend the next 10 years ribbon cutting in the hope the British public accept her OR jack it all in and go out in a blaze of tabloids a la Duke and Duchess of Windsor and spend the rest of their lives in tropical exile (I know which I’d prefer 🤣🤣)

🤷‍♀️ It’s the truth though. I’m no Meghan fan, but she is hard working, if nothing else.

Meghan actually said herself her dad encouraged her to write letters and make her voice be heard, she wrote to Hillary Clinton and Procter and Gamble about a sexist tv commercial,

Thomas did some stupid things before and after the Wedding I agree, but I think at some point they did get a long .

Staying with parents who have a black and white view on the issue. She married into royalty, she is paid with tax payers money to do a royal role. Dad reckons they will jack it in for America.

I don't know. I think they will hang in to do their charity work for a while yet.

I don't think it was explained enough to her (or she didn't listen) that the role is about service and celebrity merely is a side effect. It is actually a role about supporting other people's worthy agendas rather than promoting your own.

I felt for her and wanted to give her a hug. Must be so so hard.
