Has anyone seen pressed powder compacts with mirrors about?

Those little plastic compacts with a round cake of powder and a mirror in the lid. They used to be a standard thing, but now I can't find one anywhere (I did find one online, but it was a very very expensive brand, and a stupid price). Now all the pressed powder is in a container with a screw-top or lift-off lid, and no mirror. I don't understand why. What use is that when you're out and about and want to touch up your make-up? I really want a new one because my old one is nearly worn out. I'm a desperate woman.

I could go back to a vintage compact for loose powder, but they're a faff and they weigh more.

I second the Max Factor one. I use it regularly.

Bobby Brown have one! I'm sorry I don't remember the exact name but you should be able to find it easily on the site.

Boots no 7 have one with pressed powder and decent mirror.

BrettAndersonscheekbones · 15/10/2019 12:53

I used to use a Boots 17 one, now defunct, replaced by CYO one.

QuestionableMouse · 15/10/2019 12:56

No7 has some.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Compact here cheap as chips, and good for touch ups.

WheelOfMisfortune · 15/10/2019 13:13

There’s tons about OP! Where are you looking?

I recommend the L’oral infallible one, coverage is excellent.

Nearlyadoctor · 15/10/2019 13:20

I use Estée Lauder, Clinique or The body shop ones. Lots about op.

Ardnassa · 15/10/2019 13:22

Chanel do an absolutely gorgeous one (les beiges).

Is it this? www.boots.com/no7-perfect-light-pressed-powder-10143519

  • it doesn't say anything about a mirror, but that photo looks as if it could be. I think I'm off to Boots this afternoon!

Hazeyjane, thank you, but that's exactly what I don't want - the powder without a mirror.

Some of the other suggestions are for foundation compacts, not powder compacts, but thank you. I'm checking all the suggestions out.

.... the Bobby Brown ones are all powders with colour, and I can't find one on the Mac site. The L'Oreal Infallible one is, again, with no mirror.

I'm still checking ...

... the Chanel is all with-colour (and probably too expensive!)

But please keep going!

Another vote for Maybelline Fit Me. Really good coverage I often wear it instead of foundation. It keeps the foam pad separate from the powder which can be annoying as it means you have to keep switching it but theirs a mirror. It’s square.

Pipandmum · 15/10/2019 13:54

There’s. No theirs 🙄.

lekkerkroketje · 15/10/2019 13:58

Kiko's pressed powder. Not visible on the website, but the last one I bought had a mirror

arvinarvinwait · 15/10/2019 13:58

Clinique! Not too expensive but not cheap either. Very shiny and touchable though, I could stroke a new one for hrs Blush

WheelOfMisfortune · 15/10/2019 14:16

The loral infallible does have a mirror- it’s underneath! Quite a few of them have a mirror underneath, so if you are only looking online this could be what’s tripping you up.

OK, Pipandmum. It looks like there isn't on the photo on their site, but I'll go and check it out in reality. Thank you.

I'm going to walk into town soon and search the make-up counters again. Will report back.

Oh gosh! It could be, couldn't it? What a good tip. Thank you!

Make Up Revolution and Revolution Pro.
Revolution Pro definitely has one or 2 with mirrors. If your local Superdrug has the newer stock in Smile

hazeyjane · 15/10/2019 14:26

The Maybelline one has a mirror underneath

MAC Blot Powder is my favourite though their Select Sheer Pressed Powder is good too. Nice compact with a mirror. www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/13849/301/products/makeup/face/powder/blot-powderpressed
