Couldn't see one of these threads & I love being nosy!

DH & DS1 have gone off too football, as per usual. Today they'll be gone for 5 hours Shock so it's a long time for me to fill with Ds2 & DS3.

None of them have been given much homework this weekend, so lots of free time! About to have another coffee, then will pull on waterproofs & go for a welly/conker walk. Then home for hot chocolate & some reading/online maths & reading. Then some crafts. Then maybe an hour in the playroom while I sort laundry.

Then DH & DS1 should be home & we'll have lunch & loaf about! Possibly a board game this afternoon.

Rainy days are hard to fill with 2 boys who love running around a lot Grin

Lazy, cosy Sunday in with the cats! DH is having a movie day!

gingajewel · 13/10/2019 09:40

It’s raining really heavy here, so we are going to take a trip to decathlon to look at bikes for Christmas and then I think we will be in the house for the rest of the day watching movies, ironing and cooking steak for tea.

Milkstick · 13/10/2019 09:43

Lightside your post just made me miss working in respite with teens when I was younger. Squad, perfect description. Loved those kids. As it is, I'm half conked on DS' floor after a rough night of him being ill. All night. Should have been an allotment community work day. But it's hoying it down anyway so it probably wouldn't have happened anyway.

Gym, wash bed linen, walk dog, hope DH offers to cook dinner!

Nononononono33 · 13/10/2019 09:45

Having a lazy morning watching the Wales then Scotland rugby matches. We have a family fantasy league running for the World Cup so we’re all getting a bit competitive. Then food shopping, laundry, and I’m going to continue with A Confession that I’ve been watching on catch up, and I might try to do a bit more of my jigsaw. Pasta for dinner (already prepared). Most excitingly we’ll book our skiing holiday for next year today now we’ve booked the annual leave at work.

Milkstick · 13/10/2019 09:45

@lovelyjubilly this will be me, 87000 washloads after last night. When I'm vertical. DS is sleeping. I just stayed awake til half 4 last night, there was little point trying to sleep.

foxyknoxy30 · 13/10/2019 09:47

Going to the live show of 'still game'😁

myhandsareverycold · 13/10/2019 09:48

Yesterday was spent catching up on household chores so not much to do in the way of laundry, ironing etc today.
Collecting a parcel from John Lewis this afternoon and a food shop delivery is due late afternoon. Will roast a ham for early supper tonight.
I work such crazy hours during the week it's nice to slob. Children all happy with a lazy weekend too as they have 11 hour school days.
Raining so will get very wet taking the dogs for a run
Will also do a few hours work to try and get a little ahead next week.
I didn't change out of PJ's yesterday and it was bliss.

MaryBoBary · 13/10/2019 09:54

Me and DS have just had croissant s for breakfast. DP is still in bed (his turn for a lie in today). If it stops raining I'll get out with the dog for a walk, then I've just got some ironing to do and roast chicken to cook. DS wants to do some arts and crafts so will fit that in and be ready for Harry Potter on itv at 5.

jobbymcginty · 13/10/2019 10:13

Foxy enjoy dh and I saw it last Saturday really enjoyed it

Drogosnextwife · 13/10/2019 10:16

We are on holiday in Yorkshire, it's raining. Staying in a beautiful big farm house so plans are to potter about, play some games and maybe take a trip out for lunch. Any suggestions on where to go near Malton would be great Grin

Currently at soft play with my four year old. It's hellish but she's enjoying herself. Going to cook a roast later, iron the school uniform and then whack on a Disney film.

pumpkinpie01 · 13/10/2019 10:32

I was going to take my DS to a lovely local animal rescue place, food shop and dog walk was really looking forward to today. But last night I misjudged the bottom 2 stairs when running down and have sprained both my ankles so I can't do anything at all , what a waste of a day 😩

UrbanMage · 13/10/2019 10:36

Showers all round then Aldi for the food shop. DD has to do her phonic homework
Planning on baking this avo: a carrot cake or jam tarts. Dh can't make up his mind.
Then we will have a roast and watch a film with DD, before I sort her uniform for the week and prep myself for tomorrow.

Might mull some cider as I'm feeling pleasantly autumnal.

sproutsandparsnips · 13/10/2019 10:37

Just come off a night shift, watching the rugby whilst cooking lasagne for later. Then driving 40 mins to take ds1 to a rugby match. Then going for a little sleep Smile

Swisskit · 13/10/2019 10:37

Still in bed nursing a mild hangover.

Plan to make bacon and egg naans for brunch, with lots of coffee, cinnamon swirls and fresh fruit (medicinal, obviously).

Then lots of lazing around. Really need to do ironing but will save that for later.

blanketsallday · 13/10/2019 10:50

Nothing today (as usual) as depression is bad. Will probably get out of bed this evening and eat something.

I should help my partner by walking the dog and going to a job interview but I just can't face anything today.

SpiderCharlotte · 13/10/2019 11:13

Not much today - might sort my wardrobe out this afternoon and will soak fruit in copious amounts of alcohol later and stick in the fridge ready to make Christmas cake next weekend.

SavageBeauty73 · 13/10/2019 12:16

@blanketsallday big hugs! Hope you begin to feel better.

SavageBeauty73 · 13/10/2019 12:16

@pumpkinpie01 Ouch! Both ankles? Have you put ice on and elevated?

happypotamus · 13/10/2019 13:08

Got up, washed up so there were bowls and spoons for breakfast, washed my hair, cried in the bath about work, rang in sick to work tomorrow, feel incredibly guilty about that, tidied house up, vacuumed, waiting for my parents to come (my dad is currently watching the rugby at my brother's house), got to get DD1 to do homework, make a curry for dinner, wash DDs' hair, put them to bed, make packed lunch for tomorrow, sort everything else out for school tomorrow, wish I could ring in sick to life in general as well as work

myhandsareverycold · 13/10/2019 19:35

Well my day didn't go quite a planned. I've only just finished working, HOWEVER, it means I've completely caught up and ready to face the week and that feels wonderful.
Ham will now be tomorrow's supper. Children all requested different things and as they were all in the fridge i obliged. This is most certainly not normal. We eat as a family every night and I fear my overload at work meant I relaxed things somewhat.
Looking forward to next week as I'm up to date. Feels so good.
Hope you all have a lovely week ahead.
