I’m bored, what do you do in the evening

I’m bored, I’m home alone, dc in bed. Obviously there are many things I “could” do like ironing , work or going through my wardrobe sorting out summer/winter clothes.

I’ve watched all the most recent Dr Pimple
Popper vids, don’t want to do sit ups and am shit at knitting!

What can I do to alleviate my “boredom” that doesn’t involve mess or going to bed (other option 😳)

Try to make the house look a bit less like a bomb has gone off. Try to stay awake long enough for my husband to get home 😂

PoohBearsHole · 02/10/2019 21:52

Perks of working is that my fab childcare cleared up yesterday and I’ve been out all day so house looks pretty good (hence no less making activity)

Think my bed is looking tempting 🤪

How about a good book? Or get lost in a Netflix series.

I am currently painting a masterpiece (not really but faking it til u make it).

PoohBearsHole · 02/10/2019 22:10

Netflix would be my go to but our internet is pants so nothing is playing properly. My glasses are in the car

Enilsa is the Queen

NewNameGuy · 02/10/2019 22:16

Cup of tea / some "private browsing" / stare at your phone then sleep ?

PoohBearsHole · 02/10/2019 22:16

When you knit what do you make? I’m very unskilled so can’t even do a proper square 😱

Start on homemade Halloween costumes

Campervan69 · 02/10/2019 22:24

I'm the same. I've gone to bed through sheer cold and boredom.

Tomorrow evening I have parents evening then a mums night out. I'm already resenting having no time to myself....

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 02/10/2019 22:29

I've been wondering what to do all week but then not got kids sorted until late and now knackered so done nothing!

PoohBearsHole · 02/10/2019 22:39

@Campervan69 - turns out it’s not as much fun as it’s cracked up to be 😂

OP posts:
avokado · 02/10/2019 22:45

I play scrabble on my phone.. against the computer - sad.

Campervan69 · 02/10/2019 22:47

I'm also really hungry as I'm trying to diet. Again very boring. So I've removed myself from the temptation of the kitchen.

BecomesHelen · 02/10/2019 22:48

Shower, watch an hour of tv (unless interrupted by baby), go to bed. Pretty much every night.

There’s a lot I could achieve if I either went to bed later or didn’t sit on my arse for an hour watching tv but the baby still wakes appropriately every hour so I’m going to take that hour of sitting and the early nights!

Branster · 02/10/2019 22:51

Read something or have a marathon self care session (a facial, hair mask, manicure etc) or find interesting YouTube channels and watch a few videos. Or waste time on Pinterest.

Singlenotsingle · 02/10/2019 22:56

Made apple pie with apples out of the garden and some spare pastry - then
The Apprentice, followed by Doc Martin (on catch-up).
