What's YOUR hobby?

After the (most recent) thread slamming partners who cycle, I wondered how many of us have hobbies or interests we have time to indulge in? What are they? Mine would mainly be gaming. 'Nice' PC games like Sims /2point hospital/Unravel/Planet zoo - nothing where the object is to charge round killing everything else. I love bodyboarding too but I'm on the wrong coast for it!

Running
Reading
I userd to have two horses and still ride a couple of times a month
Going to punk gigs
I count drinking wanky craft beer as a hobby, which my mother finds horrifying

piefacedClique · 28/09/2019 12:22

Baking , baking, baking! Luckily my husbands is cleaning up!

coastergirl · 28/09/2019 12:22

Reading and rollercoasters. I don't get to indulge in rollercoasters as much as I'd like, but have travelled all over to go on them. I also like to know about new theme parks and rollercoasters in development. I'm such a geek.

I have quite an unusual hobby which I won't mention as it could be outing (I know, I know, I'm sorry) that keeps me busy twice a week and some weekends.

I also love gaming!

The other day, I found out you could get Pokemon Yellow (GameBoy Advance) for PC, and I've played it in almost all of my spare time. It's mad how crap it seems now, but it reminds me so much of my summer holidays as a child, and it just makes me happy to sit there playing it I'm sure I'll get back to this decade of gaming soon!

Mosaics - garden pots, wall art, sculpture, whatever takes my fancy.

Smotheroffive · 28/09/2019 12:38

I would share, but it would be too outting Grin

Also @BarbaraofSeville how do you deal with the sweaty back? One of mine is this, but I am not dealing well with the sweaty back and it puts me off Sad

Tips welcomed!

Flower777 · 28/09/2019 12:44

Nothing really at the moment.

Life just seems very busy with everything else.

Maybe in the winter I’ll start knitting again.

100PercentThatBitch · 28/09/2019 12:50

Jigsawing, Mumsnetting, Netflix bingeing

I'd love some tips RE getting back into reading, I've lost all concentration ability somehow but I used to read so much and I miss it. I try but can barely get past a couple of pages.

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 28/09/2019 12:57

Colouring and diamond painting, and have just started learning to crochet. I also seem to spend a lot of time playing Hay Day and Puzzle Page (for the Sudoku) Blush

I used to love jigsaw puzzles (2,000 pieces minimum) but since children, 2 cats and a golden retriever I daren't do it anymore Blush

Orangecake123 · 28/09/2019 12:58

cocomelon23 · 28/09/2019 13:08

Cycling and powerlifting.

darkriver19886 · 28/09/2019 13:09

I am a gamer, I just want to say you can kill things on the Sims. Some do it deliberately, mine seem to be terrible accidents. Fires, electric shocks, thunder storms.

GOODCAT · 28/09/2019 13:23

Horse riding and horses generally. Swimming, running, cycling and walking at weekends. Diy. Following f1. Reading but it tends to be a snatched 5 minutes before bed. I have been getting into podcasts too.

spiderlight · 28/09/2019 13:26

Walking, with my dog. Photography (mostly of my dog). Reading.

Drabarni · 28/09/2019 13:28

Genealogy, gypsiology, and writing my book about the two.
Atm still a hobby but currently setting up a business so hopefully not a hobby for too much longer.

I also read, watch tv (only certain things, and rarely), listen to music, go to the theatre.

Winterfellismyhome · 28/09/2019 13:34

Cross stitching mainly. Ive got way too many on the go. Also read loads and gaming. Currently binging Zelda, Breath of the Wild Grin

Mintypea5 · 28/09/2019 13:36

Audiobooks
Pokemon Go
The Sims (not that I get the chance to play much these days)
Scrapbooking / craft stuff

Prettypumpkin · 28/09/2019 13:37

Walking, crochet, brush lettering, cooking, gardening, growing veggies. I've got loads of hobbies but very little time to indulge in any atm unfortunately

Yeahnahyeah1 · 28/09/2019 13:38

I ride (have a horse at home so all associated wastes of time as well), I shoot, I surf, I kayak and do Pilates.
Cuddling my dog is my favourite tho 😂

sewinginscotland · 28/09/2019 13:50

Sewing while DS naps is my main one.

Reading, making photobooks. Occasionally baking if I have the inclination. I'm trying to find the willpower to get back into running, but DS needs to sleep a lot better before that can happen.

I want to play on the Sims now though. I have wasted spent many a happy hour on it over the last 20 years 😊.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 28/09/2019 13:55

Trampoline gymnastics. Reading.
