What's YOUR hobby?

After the (most recent) thread slamming partners who cycle, I wondered how many of us have hobbies or interests we have time to indulge in? What are they? Mine would mainly be gaming. 'Nice' PC games like Sims /2point hospital/Unravel/Planet zoo - nothing where the object is to charge round killing everything else. I love bodyboarding too but I'm on the wrong coast for it!

I crochet, mainly amigurumi

Oblomov19 · 28/09/2019 14:17

No. No hobby.
Mn'ing? Drinking as much wine/g&t's with my friends as often as possible? (ie rarely!)

nononever · 28/09/2019 14:17

@TheHuntingOfTheSarky I played Hay Day for a long time, might start again over the winter. It's quite therapeutic Grin

FairfaxAikman · 28/09/2019 14:18

Waves @Monsterdogs

Flyball fanatic here as well. Sadly just had to retire the second dog in under a year so am currently dogless. Thankfully some members of my team have more dogs than handlers 😂

I also like reading and baking.

Carp fishing

BarbaraofSeville · 28/09/2019 16:05

I'd really recommend fishing as a hobby for any over stressed mother who feels that her DH doesn't do his fair share at home.

After all, how else would you get to sit and do nothing in a picturesque and peaceful location for hours on end?

There's no rules about actually catching any fish and nothing to stop you taking a book and alcohol and snacks of your choosing.

DulciUke · 28/09/2019 16:13

I'm single and without children, so have more time for hobbies. I play a musical instrument (and trying to get semi-competent on a second), knit, read and have recently gotten into bullet journaling.

I wish that I was more into hiking or (gasp!) cycling. I wouldn't be so fat!

DulciUke · 28/09/2019 16:14

And podcasts. I listen to a lot of those.

LAA2 · 28/09/2019 16:45

Up until I injured my back, I was always around horses. Then when I couldn't ride anymore, I started tracing my family history. So far, I have got back to 1400s on my dads paternal line. I also like gardening but need my husband to do the manual labour for me, so I just do the planting and maintaining once he has done the heavy work for me.

Duvetdazed · 28/09/2019 16:49

@BarbaraofSeville that's what I thought..as DP went off on his weekends away, so I decided to give it a go myself. Ended up really enjoying it, love the peace and quiet, and it's definitely a growing hobby for women which is great to see.
