Just been to a tombola today I won 6 bags of sweets and a frisby.

GloGirl I was very sad too, especially as the chocolate had bloomed so was inedible!

RozHuntleysStump · 27/09/2019 18:18

A can of Fosters.

Musmerian · 27/09/2019 18:18

A tin of rhubarb sellotaped to a tin of condensed milk.

Arrowfanatic · 27/09/2019 18:23

I've entered many a tombola in my time and never won until last year when i finally had my ticket called at a town get together and won the top prize of a £100 john lewis voucher! I was stoaked as I'd been eyeing up some bose headphones (as they're the only ones that stay in my infant sized ears) that were not cheap.

pollywobble · 27/09/2019 18:25

A pack with 3 stockings in it 🤔

Livingthedream12345 · 27/09/2019 18:25

I won a packet of 'oat so simple' once.
Proper rock n roll

MooFeatures · 27/09/2019 18:26

A torch and a spice rack

BertieBotts · 27/09/2019 18:27

I swear raffles just exist for people to get rid of random crap they have in their house that they don't want. Or they remember on the way to the school fair that they are meant to donate something and go to the corner shop :o

I bet the double sized Fireman Sam duvet cover was a false buy that the person missed the returns window for.

RoLaren · 27/09/2019 18:49

An 8 ft teddy bear. The look on my Mum's face!

Shopkinsdoll · 27/09/2019 18:55

Those things you stick on your shoes if your tap dancing lol

IncognitaIgnorama · 27/09/2019 18:59

polly that's so that you don't have to bin the pair if you get a snag.

Envious of all you winners - my best win was a pair of scarlet fishnet tights. Not in a packet, so possibly not new. I was six at the time Grin

Shelvesoutofbooks · 27/09/2019 19:01

A used talking tom towel 😐

Bezalelle · 27/09/2019 19:03

I once won a pair of teazels dresses up to look like hedgehogs. This was circa 1993, but not a day goes by when I don't think about them.

latedecember1963 · 27/09/2019 19:47

Some of these are fabulous!
I think this thread might be a candidate for Classics.
I've spent my working life in schools and I also help with my church fairs so I've seen my fair share of odd donations in my time.
When I was little, if I won, it was often something my mum had donated and she'd have to pretend to be pleased for me. 😂

hairyturkey · 27/09/2019 19:48

A plastic plant for a lizard vivarium

Fantababy · 27/09/2019 19:51

One of these crappy 'shabby chic' signs with a motivational 'live, laugh, love' type message. We re-donated it. Only entered for the booze. Grin

Iceburglettuce · 27/09/2019 19:53

I spent a £1 and won a ton of beans and a bottle of gin... was pretty chuffed 😄

Iceburglettuce · 27/09/2019 19:53

I won a tin... not a ton!

WanderingMind · 27/09/2019 19:55

A roll-on deodorant. As soon as I saw it I knew I would win that. I took it home and binned it as I couldn't be sure it hadn't been used. 🤮

FatherFintanFay · 27/09/2019 20:25

Bezalelle my gran had a pair of those that she'd bought voluntarily. Their bodies were made from lavender bags, so not only could they lacerate your hand, they would also smell really sickly while they were at it. I think they ended up in some kind of church jumble box after she died. Perhaps they were the ones you won Grin

nunnun · 27/09/2019 21:39

A packet of 20 Embassy cigarettes and I don't smoke.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 27/09/2019 21:48

DD won a giant cuddly toy when she was in y1. And I mean GIANT. We donated it back to school as a raffle prize the next year and she bloody won it again!! Donated it back the year after and someone else was clearly just as grateful as we were to win it as it returned the next year too 😂 DD is at secondary school now and I often wonder if giant cuddly toy is still doing the yearly school raffle

badgerhead · 27/09/2019 21:51

An enormous turkey which had to be jointed before being cooked!

CandlesAreHere · 27/09/2019 21:54

A bread warming stone.
That went in the bin.

BentNeckLady · 27/09/2019 22:00

A China queen. She lives on my landing windowsill.
