Seriously, I'm not especially squeamish about this sort of thing - I have pet snakes and I have to deal with frozen rats and mice when I feed them. But when they defrost, they stink of urine and, if they're left for too long, dead flesh. Obviously. Are these things actually taxidermied or have they just stuck googly eyes on a frozen one and not realised it won't stay that way?

Theres something particularly disturbing about removing parts of creatures and using them to make something akin to a different species. I think it used to be used by certain regimes to humiliate their torture victims. I suspect its a fetish, and I apply it to various Turner prize winners too. Its even more disturbing when its posted on social media and used to shock. It shouldn't be encouraged.
