Thomas Cook-Disney Land Paris Booking

Just wondering if anyone can help with this! We have booked Disneyland Paris with Thomas Cook. We aren’t due to go until next August and we have paid the deposit of £353. Now they have collapsed, what will
Happen? I understand all holidays will be cancelled but as far as I am aware the booking is actually with DLP and Thomas Cook just act as an agent? Will we be entitled to just carry on with the booking ( with DLP) or will it get cancelled as we will get our money back? We didn’t have any travel booked with them.

I feel desperately sorry for the staff of Thomas Cook but if anyone can shed any light on this that would be great.

Thanks

really?? wow thats a long time to keep us all in limbo.
ive just looked at booking again via DLP direct, quite a good deal staying at the Disneyland hotel free half board premium which includes lunch with princesses and a buffalo bill show too for £3,300 so a thousand more than the one we had/have booked via Thomas cook.
Still would have to find the £500 deposit as wont be getting our previous one back anytime soon.
seriously this stress is beyond a joke.
so not fair.

I’m so stressed out, we go to DLP quite often but not since having my little boy, so I saved so hard to go with my little girl for just some mummy and daughter time, went out and got all the extras! Lunch with princesses, one of the best hotels, everything cost £3k for three nights and she’s so so excited, I don’t have the funds to book another holiday or even money for a deposit so I’m just heartbroken if it gets cancelled because what if I can’t get the same package again, I really really hope the honour the bookings, I literally cannot face telling my three year old she isn’t going anymore 💔😪

I have just spoken to them via online chat and they said they’ll have an update tomorrow so we will see!

We spoke to them on online chat and got told they still have no idea and that we need to wait.
Im tired of it all now.
ABTA have asked for all documents so they can look into it.
im so frustrated as we all must be.

RemoteControlling · 24/09/2019 20:04

The only document I have is the confirmation Thomas Cook sent me!

We were meant to go last year and had to postpone for medical reasons. Re-booked a year ago through Thomas cook to go early November so fully paid up nearly a year ago. Can someone please tell me the phone number you have used to call Disneyland Paris? And a good email address to use to contact them? Thank you.

skyler13 · 25/09/2019 12:44

Weve just been told by ABTA that we have a contract with DLP so wont get funds back through them but DLP are saying its with Thomas cook....seriously this is going to make people ill all this messing about. Has anyone else heard back?

skyler13 · 25/09/2019 12:48

@Madnesscat1 08448008898 or the new thomas cook supoort line for DLP is 03001231648

quite a good deal staying at the Disneyland hotel free half board premium which includes lunch with princesses and a buffalo bill show too for £3,300 so a thousand more than the one we had/have booked via Thomas cook.

That’s not a good deal. We’ve done DLP about 6 times and never spent more than £1k on a week including all food plus premium shows etc. Admittedly, we stay at DCR, but still.

Itsjustmee · 25/09/2019 15:01

Boobiliboobiliboo
I agree I did DLP stayed at the Disney hotel for 2 adults 1 kid return Eurostar and full board inc breakfast and every lunch and dinner was a character meal buffalo bill show and snacks in the park
All passes and we paid £2500 and that was Feb half term for 7 nights

Boobiliboobiliboo · 25/09/2019 15:12

Crickey. Did full board leave you any time at all to see anything else? You must have spent hours eating every day!

RemoteControlling · 25/09/2019 15:34

The website has a message at the top stating they are trying to sort something out. The offer I booked through is still on the website so no idea whether to rebook :(

Well tried ringing back today like they told me to, they gave me a number to ring and when you ring it just says there’s a que and hangs up. It does give you an email address but I can’t figure out what they’re saying

RemoteControlling · 27/09/2019 10:21

I’m On hold with them now, hopefully someone answers the phone!

skyler13 · 27/09/2019 10:41

we too have been trying to call and getting the call ended.
ive heard a few saying their holidays are fine and have been secured 🤞🤞

RemoteControlling · 27/09/2019 11:13

Just got through to them! She said Thomas Cook haven’t sent our deposit over BUT the booking is still secure. I have to send over proof of what I have paid to [email protected] then they wil text me to confirm the booking but she said nothing is cancelled and the bookings are still going ahead fine! Hope this helps

OP posts:
skyler13 · 27/09/2019 11:29

thank you,
we are still on hold.
So does the full cost still remain outstanding or are DLP sorting the money that weve already paid?

RemoteControlling · 27/09/2019 12:01

She said they just need to see proof of what I have paid which for me is just the deposit (£353) and I can pay the rest to them so I am assuming they will take into account he full
Amount you’ve paid as long as you have proof. You wil need the booking reference that starts with a J

Excuse the typos!

jadeprincess19 · 27/09/2019 12:12

I’m also stressing about if the holiday is still booked where will I pick tickets up from? I used to always pick my transfers and plane tickets up from Thomas cook a few weeks before flying xxxx

jadeprincess19 · 27/09/2019 12:22

Also is that stupid song they have playing doing anyone else’s head in 😂😂😂

RemoteControlling · 27/09/2019 12:55

Yeah it was really
Annoying and I had them on loud speaker whilst I was watching Netflix doing chores and every time the girl started to speak about Halloween I thought a real life person was answering!

jadeprincess19 · 27/09/2019 13:29

I hung up after being on hold over an hour, I’ve emailed and hopefully I’ll hear something back, I’m stressing out majorly about it all

Chelsey92x · 30/09/2019 00:26

I’m confused I booked through Thomas cook but supplier says Disneyland Paris? I’m so worried I’m due to go start of November it’s so weird how some go through magic breaks and some don’t anyone know the best contact number?

skyler13 · 30/09/2019 06:33

@Chelsey92x go on the website it has a number or look at one of my comments above as its in there.
Disneyland are keeping all bookings so dont worry but you do need to call them as they will want proof of your holiday sending
